Co-op for this game is so much fun, just started it yesterday. Really enjoyable. Also fun when your friend is about to finish a level, is walking on a platform with a cube, and you step off the switch dropping them to their doom.
WHEATLEY
I don't know how anyone misses this, it's only printed on every goddamn loading screen after he takes over...
Chell is the protagonist of both Portal 1 and 2

yeah, it was a lot easier. Only got stuck for a little bit on 2 parts, but only because I guess I had been playing too long and missed extremely obvious solutions.
I think the only one I had a real problem with was

I honestly want to find the tools to design a level and make my own portal level. It would be hard as shit.
Also a little disappointed that there was no challenge maps AFAIK where the first one had so I am /sadface.
Looking forward to map packs though.
I'd love if they did that and you could do it all Little big planet style and have other people play them. That'd be so badass.
They have stated many times the SDK will be released with custom level support. Co-op makes this game though, so I sure hope they allow custom 2 player maps.
A Portal Map editor would fucking rock. I would spend so much time with it.

That makes a lot of sense. I don't know how I got the idea that they were two different women into my head. x__XSpoiler: show
Was the one puzzle that I got stuck on too. Couldn't figure out how to propel myself to the exit after taking out the turrets.![]()
I honestly didn't think I'd like the co-op that much, that it would be sort of gimmicky. It was one of the main reasons that I was willing to pay 50$ for the game however, having a friend to play with usually makes a game for me regardless, and it's one thing I hate about mass effect. That, and it is hard for me to typically justify 50$ for a 5-7hour game.
But man, was I underestimating the co-op. I don't know if it was because we were up till like 230 trying to finish it when I had an exam at 930, or if it was because we were just so fucking stupid--but I haven't laughed that hard at a game in so long. I was in tears at one point. We were on vent the entire time, and it was just so satisfying when we got to the end of a map that we were stuck on for a while and I would stand on the ledge when my friend was portal-jumping so that he fell to his death.
Such a great co-op experience. It is really hard for me to play single player games anymore, if at all, because they just don't do it for me like they used to. But Portal2 is a perfect example that I hope other developers follow, that single player games can have some form of co-op. Even if they are short, or unrelated, or gimmicky and just for a few laughs. Sharing the experience really adds to the game. Getting mad at a puzzle together, purposely killing each other... It doesn't have to be an entire campaign like Gears of War (I did love the original's co-op as well), but just a little something can really make a game. It sure as hell can't break it. Big big thumbs up for this co-op.
It made the pricetag that was an annoyance at first a thing of the past. Any future DLC, mods, user-maps... There aren't many games that have the kind of post-release potential that this one does.
Seriously, I've put in so many hours in ME I can't even count them...
I was referring to portal being 5-7 hours. With ME I meant it had no co-op. Wrote that while in class, i'll clarify that part.
