Problem with Computer, anyone can help?

So lately my computer been failing alot, it would crash alot during games and sometimes even when doing nothing, i would leave the computer on and it would crash when it was asleep. Another thing to mention is my computer cant take more than 2g of ram and even with 2g of ram sometimes it gets stuck when it first starts up the computer with the screen showing your specs, also when having more than 4g it will go to blue screen of death when it first loads up windows.

this is the spec of my computer
Intel Core 2 duo core 3.16GHz
    2-4gb of ram, cosair dominator
    GTX 260 x2 SLI
    EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 - FTW Motherboard
    500gb Harddrive, forgot brand.

if theres anymore specs needed please tell me, i dont know what info i should give but those are the basic important ones.

Have you done a RAM check to make sure that your DIMMs are good? Possible that some of the RAM isn't seated, or some of your slots are bad?

For your computer crashing, it could either be your processor is getting to hot, problem with your power supply or your memory. It looks like the memory is the problem to me. Run memtest 1 stick at a time and make sure all of your sticks of ram are good. After doing that go into your BIOS and check to see if all of your ram is is runnings at the same timings. Example: All of your ram should be running at: CAS: 5 - tRCD: 6 - tRP: 6 - tRAS: 18, 2.1V and 1066MHz. (This is only if i guessed your ram correctly.)

Here's the memory specifications for your particular motherboard:
    Memory Standard DDR2: 1066
    Maximum Memory Supported: 8GB

Is this your ram? > http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-256-_-Product

There's a number of things that can be causing your problem, i only have basic knowledge of computers and there's definately someone more qualified than me to help you. Search for a computer fanatics forum and there will be someone there that can assist you far better than i can.
