The goo is amazing to for preserving healthy color too, I love that stuff.

Yeah it's really nice, I still use the pot i have and it really really richens the colour out. Plus it smells so good I want to stick my dick in it.
It's going to itch like nothing has ever itched before. I'm sure you know not to scratch it, I'm just letting you know that you will want to take steel wool to it. You can lightly slap it though.
That thing lasts forever is used properly, it's important to use a little and not alot, too much softens/dampens the skin and can ruin tattoo. Like I said, my entire back and calf are covered and I started my arm and I've barely used half a tin.
Take Tekki's tattoo and just do the opposite. You will come out ahead.
Outline has always hurt more than the color for me. You get used to it after a few minutes and it just feels hot and mildly uncomfortable, though.
Any unscented/unmedicated hand lotion will work for aftercare. Might want to grab some sleep meds too, as it can be an absolute bitch to sleep once it starts itching.
All the cool people get kanji with barbed wire around it tattooed on them.
Everything has been covered in this thread. I'm one of those "outlines are worst part" guys. Learned a lot from my first tattoo on my leg. Didn't take care of it, and scratched it when it itched. Luckily it didn't get deformed, but it lost most of its color.
The guy re-did it for free when I started my back. I went over the top on taking care of my next sets and its gone a long way. I only had to re do one part of my arm near the elbow, and that was it. I have solid black tattoos and they all still look great.
Keeping up on moisturizers throughout the life of the tattoo helps too. For awhile there I didn't and thought it was already fading, when it was just the skin drying out.
BTW Weltall, you say that in every tattoo thread. Word for word
What does your tattoo look like Tekki? I remember it being big or something
My back and right arm have a 3 part design an artist did, with a cross between my shoulder blades. Don't have any uploaded pics (was on old LS site) Spent about a year and a half working on it with the guy. I hate tribals, and let him know that up front. It gets dismissed as that frequently. I don't mind.
Comments are hit and miss. Like I said it gets dismissed as tribal when they see just the arm, and don't like it. But the positive comments I get are usually "I typically don't like those types of tattoos but that one is really good"
Best comment was from a DM. He was ripping into a guy with sleeves and tattoos all over his arm. We were really close so I was like "Um... so my tattoo" "No, yours has taste and doesn't suck"
Apparently I do my tattoos like I do my relics.
Please. Please. PLEASE. Do NOT wrap your tattoo in saran wrap after. I have seen nothing and heard of nothing but bad results from doing this.
Also, A+D Ointment > All. No exceptions.
same as others, outline hurt more than the coloring for me but I didn't think it hurt that much to begin with. My arm did twitch a little, despite me trying as hard as I could to keep it controlled but it didn't mess anything up. Someone said this, I'll repeat it -
DONT PICK AT THE SCABS. It's incredibly tempting, especially after you've suffered through all that itching.
Getting a tattoo is incredibly addicting as well. When I was sitting in the chair for my 1st tatt, I was already planning out my next one.
Thank you for all the comments. I went out and bought some A & D ointment, once I get it done if it is eligible, I will post a pic.
If you make a tat thread then dont post pics when you get it..
I said the dragon was my last one.. But god damnit I'm already planning my next. FML.
Just tattoo your entire body blue, then you can join the blue man group.
PLease god say you're joking fuck.
