    Ankle and Wrist Weights

Trying to find a place to buy these, but looking for something a bit heavier. The highest I've seen was 10 lbs in each, but looking for something more along the lines of 25 to 50 in each. Cheaper the better!

I saw 20lb ankle ones with google http://www.shapeupshop.com/fitness/w...le_weights.htm

But...you may want to consider the reason no one makes 50lb weights that go on your joints.

The ankle ones? They're 10lbs each and 50 bucks at that. What reason? I think 10lbs won't feel like anything at all.

My mistake, I read that as 20lbs each, not 20lbs as a pair.

Also joints are the weakest point in your body, no matter how strong you are a 50lb weight could snap them, even 20 is pushing it.

    This.

You aren't a bad-enough dude to walk around with 50 pound ankle weights.

    And neither is anyone else.

    50lb wrist weights?

I'm guessing you don't work out much because if you DID you'd know 50lb is substantial and you'd have to be fkn nuts to want to strap that onto a joint and have it bounce around and dislocate or tear or pull etc. I'd say you should do yourself a favor and not look for them but I'm pretty sure no company makes them (as their legal department would shit bricks) so enjoy your search.

i want you to go into a gym, grab 2 15 lb dumbbells, and carry one in each arm for two hours. dont even do standard activity like you would be doing. just hold those fuckers for 2 hours. then i want you to come back here and tell me how you feel.

I'm not trying to run a marathon in these things if you guys are getting that assumption. Just when I walk to and from classes, around the office, etc. Take em off and move fast as lightning, umph.

if you actually tried my advice, you would find that your entire world would be fucked after about 15-30 mins, depending on your current level of fitness.

added muscle strain is for serious endurance trainers, not for dudes that think they can throw some weight on and get all doped up

actually, i'm fairly curious myself about these types of weights. I used to have either a 5lb or 10lb ankle weight a while ago and after an entire day i definately felt it....is it a good thing to do while working out and such or is it just not worth the hassle?

I wear ankle weights while doing cardio(walking, stair stepping etc.), I went from about a 1lb pair gradually up to a 5lb pair, I couldn't imagine doing anything over 10, even gradually working up to a 25lb pair would be a real pain in the ass to move around in...
