If you didn't watch The Hurt Locker until the end, then you didn't watch The Hurt Locker. One of the most though-provoking endings to a movie ever.

I rolled my eyes at the end - it turned into hero-worshipping bullshit, with the hard-driving nu-redneck rock and everything. FUCK YEAH AMERICAN MILITARY!

Anyway, I'm just glad that the beautiful and talented Academy Award Winning Sandra Bullock won the Academy Award for Best Actress.

I was looking at the list for best actress and I knew that Bullock would win it, I was talking to my gf just prior to the bit about the best actresses, she had thought it had been announced already but the oscars website didn't show a statue by the names yet

in any case:

Sandra Bullock – still hasn't won an oscar, never gonna get a part like this again (barring win)
Helen Mirren – has won already I'm pretty sure?
Carey Mulligan – yeah no, unless you're german-guy-from-inglorious-basterds-good..
Gabourey Sidibe – sorry baby, they gave yours to mo'nique cuz she's a comedian
Meryl Streep – this would be what, 4 now? let the others play even though you were clearly the best, we know you're good hun
