It really is. Unless a person's GPU is totally incapable of pushing 1440P then people should step up. The difference in my opinion from 1080 to 1440 is great and totally worth it.

I'm really debating moving back down to a 27. I really like my 32 but maybe I'm getting old man eyes (I do wear glasses) because the screen seems too big while playing games.

I purposefully stay at 24" because any larger makes it hard to see the minimap in Dota with just peripheral vision.

Ugh I've been plodding along with a 9 year old build (propped up by a graphics card refresh 3 years ago) because it plays Dota 2 just fine for me on max settings on 1080p/144hz.

I know that a card will be hamstrung in my old mobo without PCI-E 3.0, but this is making me want to take the jump. What's best version of the 980 Ti to get? I see what the ACX is, but what's the SC Gaming modifier vs. the Classified Gaming modifier mean?

Get this. Highest clock and same price as the rest. It's exactly what I would get. fucking knew those 970s would be gone by the time I got to work.

I jumped on the combo Google Express + AMEX deal to get a 500GB Samsung Evo 860. My intention has been to flip it, but the offers have been really cheap so I decided to just upgrade (currently using a Kingston HyperX 240 GB). But when I considered the prospect of another HD switch it seemed like a good time to just start a new build.

I use 2x8gb DDR4 3200 (can only get it to 2800). Friday I'm supposed to be selling my 1080 for $400 plus a GTX 770 4GB and 8GB DDR4 2400. If it goes through and you're interested I'll let you know. I'll work out a figure once I have it in my hands. 770 I'm selling on Amazon. Price for that is bananas.

I pulled the trigger on the 980 Ti but I'll probably mull over trying to resell it or package it with the Evo 860 before I commit more cash to a new tower... but good deals would certainly incentivize the upgrade process lol.

If you're looking to buy a GPU and you're already looking to spend 700+ on it wait until around the end of July if possibly, rumor going around that 1180 will be dropping at 719~729, this will likely cause a flood of high end gpu's being under priced being thrown out everywhere.
