I can't use light boost at 144hz and the blur reduction is definitely worth having light boost activated. Only running 1080p so I can easily max settings and maintain 120fps (maybe with a few dips to 112 in the worst situations) with what I play.
I'd love to see it first before investing. I'm pretty happy with 2560x1440 60hz but if I could see it and agree I'd make the step. However, I don't play FPS, battle royal's, etc. Walmart had a clearance on a 27" 2560x1440 144hz for like, $165 but I couldn't find one. I would've jumped on that in a heartbeat.
It's definitely worth it imo. I bought my 144Hz monitor three years ago and it's super noticeable

144hz looks so good in everything, even in ffxiv.
Modern games have been harder to hit though.
I feel like my eyes are ready for 1440p 200+ fps.
People going to be salty when they spent $1200 on 2080ti and turn ray tracing on and get 40 fps @ 1080p.
Going to keep rocking my 1080ti for a while. But I do want to upgrade from 6700k to 9900k when it comes out. 1440pp 144hz is sweet spot mang.
Ebay has a 15% off coupon code today: PREGAME15. Yeah vendors may raise prices a little, and yes new cards are coming, but a 1080 for $340 is pretty good bang for your buck.

I'd spend $20 more and get a 580 8GB once on sale. While I've used PowerColor before and hadn't had issues, I've heard from multiple sources RMA is a pain. I'd personally get XFX, Asus, Asrock, or MSI. Maybe Gigabyte.
580's seem to be the sweet spot for 1080p. if you want 4k then you might as well be a nvidia boi

$210 for the 580 after rebate
My issue with that card is more than a few report it running hot. If it was MSI, Asus, etc I wouldn't care because I've RMA'd with them before. PowerColor is one I'm hesitant to roll the dice on. Yes that one looks good and has a back plate, but the MSI Armor 580 8GB has been and will be $210 AR again most likely. I'd be looking out for AsRock too.
YMMV on a Logitech G502 RBG mouse. Just snagged two at $20.98 each. Inventory seems to be on. Before I got there it said in stock. Now it's out of stock. Good luck!
