OSAP question

Hey BG, I'm going into my 3rd year at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. I've been getting money from OSAP for the past 2 years to cover tuition and residence but next year I plan on living off-campus in a house. So instead of residence fees I'll be paying monthly rent.

My question is, what changes if I live off campus? Do I get less money from OSAP? Does OSAP give me money to help pay for my rent? When applying do I specify the amount/per month rent I would have to pay?

I'm really worrying about this because if anything changes I'd have to either look for a job during the school year or, hopefully, *crosses fingers*, my parents can help out a bit. I'm really not sure if my summer job is enough since I'd really like a nice amount of spending money.

when i was on OSAP i didnt live in the dorms at all and was strictly a renter, nothing should change at all, you might even get more.

make sure you apply for any bursary you can, i got 2 per year and i was just an average student with nothing special except being broke. General Bursary's are pretty much handed out to anyone and are a nice 500$ bump.
