Moving from FL to NY, any advice?

I only went to NYC for one weekend back in '04, but the people were crazy friendly.

I don't mean neighborly exactly, but they are helpful and efficient as fuck. I was there to hold auditions for my thesis film. I managed to leave my backpack in the cab on the ride from the hotel to my friend's place in Brooklyn. It had all the info for all my auditions in it, I was totally fucked without it. The cab company got ahold of the cabbie (as soon as he woke up the next morning) and he arranged to drop it off to me on Manhattan before my first audition.

Total fucking lifesaver.

Anyway, I loved NYC.

Also it's the special sauce that can't be denied, fuck the haters.

Because it costs about 10 bucks for a visit to Taco Bell to be worth it with my appetite and even then, I feel like I wasted my money after the fact. It's not even just Taco Bell for me though. Most fast food places I spend a lot because i can't just drop money on the dollar menu and be satisfied. Fortunately it works out because that in itself becomes a deterrent.

Also my best friend's mom is Mexican. Eating her food for free > going to Taco Bell.

Aside from Popeyes I don't. That and the occasional Dominos/Papa Johns just for money reasons.
