I have the EU copy of FF13 i registed on the SE site, entered the code and was sent an email with a code for applying for ffxiv beta and free item.

So I assume the bonus item code was only from the special edition version of FFXIII? I registed my normal Eu copy but didn't see anything about FF14 beta and a special item, bummer.

EDIT: Nevermind, got the email noiw. But wth is up with this new Square Enix member ID crap. I have my square enix account with my token and now when i try to link it to this new ID it wont let me log in, stupid...
Mhh seems that people who had that Square Enix Members ID before March 1st need a Square Enix account like us FFXI players with tokens have, but what about us that registered for the Member ID to register FF13....too many confusing IDs, my brain hurts. @.@

Tried a few times like 7 hours ago to register on the EU site and still no e-mail, tried again just but still nothing, guess there is some heavy congestion going on or something!

Do we have any idea of what kind of in-game item it's going to be? I'm not interested in FFXIII, so it would suck if it was something like a +10% exp ring that you can only get from registering the game. Hopefully there will be other ways to get it, such as pre-ordering.

Not sure if the vouchers are region specific, it does direct you to an EU website though. The beta and SE accounts -are- region specific though - you can only sign up for US beta with your US FFXI account. Same deal here, my SE account is US, I had to make a seperate EU one for this. Well, actually, I made an EU one originally, then found out that I couldn't link my US FFXI account to that.

It shouldn't matter if you have an active FFXI account linked for the PS3 beta code though, at least that's the way I read it. Seems like this is for another stage of beta at a later date, and it'll still be random selection, but this time the criteria is "must have an FF13 code" instead of "must have an active FFXI account"

I'll try to enter the EU code on the NA page when SE's site locks up less. If does not work, guess I'll just make an EU SE ID.

Both codes I received (1 from collector edition and 1 from normal) were 20 digits (4x5). EU games.

p.s.: how and where do you buy Security Token? I wanted one..

Haha I can't count apparently, mine was 20 also. Still I wonder if its worth setting up an EU account ready for XIV now that we won't need to import anymore to get a headstart, instead of finding out our NA account doesn't work with our EU XIV the day it's released. As for the security token good question, probably isn't even any left atm

As for the whole EU NA account stuff. I'm actually more worried getting the "Verified by Visa" shit stuffed down my throat if I stick with my NA SE ID for FF14, which you prolly won't bypass on a PS3 like you can for FFXI on a PS2, since SE will put it on the PS3 for FF14 too. I should just make an EU account, get another token and save myself the hassle of Verified by Visa shit.

Nope, you enter your adress when you order it, doesn't matter when you order from NA POL and you're in Europe, it will come.
