Final Fantasy XIII "Special item"

The mail I received from SE with the XIV promo code says I can use it only one time for trying get into beta AND receive the special item in-game when the retail version comes out... Not beta OR special item!

So i went to http://member.eu.square-enix.com it asked for my email address i put it in and I'm waiting for the email back. it's been over 10 minutes. is this normal?

did you send the 100$ to SE? if not, i don't see a future in the Beta for you

Just thought I'd post this e-mail response I got back from Square Enix regarding signing up for PC and PS3 beta.

My Original Inquiry was,

"When registering my Final Fantasy XIII special item code to my Square Enix Account it gave me a code for the Playstation 3 beta application for Final Fantasy XIV. However, I did notice that it said \\\"- Submission of the FINAL FANTASY XIV beta testing application is limited to one per Square Enix ID, either for Windows or PlayStation 3.\\\" Does this mean that everyone who applied for the Windows beta and has not gotten an e-mail yet (assuming did not get in) are automatically disqualified from this opportunity entirely? Or does it mean that you can apply for both, however if you are accepted into one you will not be eligible to get into the other, but you will still be eligible for either one if not contacted yet?"

Their Response

"Thank you for contacting SQUARE ENIX Customer Support,

Customers who purchase Final Fantasy XIII for the Play Station 3 will receive a code that allows you to do the following:
-Submit an application to the FINAL FANTASY XIV BETA TEST (Keep in mind that this code does not guarantee beta access to FINAL FANTASY XIV)
-Qualify to receive an in-game item in the upcoming game FINAL FANTASY XIV

You can redeem this code by visiting the registration page on our members site:

You will not be disqualified if you applied for the PC and PS3 versions of the beta."

So really, they didn't answer your question at all? I'm almost certain that it said when you sign up for the beta, you can only do it once per account, and the latest submission counts.

They answered it to the extent I expected them to, though its sad that we have to lower our expectations to be satisfied by their customer service :/

I just felt the part of applying for PC and PS3 beta might be relevant to someone who was reluctant to.

So just that people know the EU site doesn't like Yahoo email addresses. Didn't send me an email back for a whole day. Used a different email address and got it immediately. 2 and a half days later i get 5 emails on my Yahoo inbox at the same time. F.U.S.E.
