    Anyone ever have pityriasis rosea?

    See title^

Fairly certain I have it. lolWiki says it goes away on its own, but its taking forever and getting annoying. Anyone have any actual experience with it?

Edit: Fuck me. "Anyone ever have.." etc

I have. Started with a 'herald' patch on my torso, spread out from there. Hot showers make it show up bright red. Sunbathing helps lessen the inflamation, and makes it not show up as bad. Took three and a half weeks for it to reach it's peak--and it took another three and a half weeks for it all to go away. It does go away on its own. It's an airborne strain of herpes that is not contagious.. in other words, it is extremely rare for it to spread to people you have close contact with.

Also, when I had pityriasis rosea my skin did not look at all like online pictures.. I'd get yourself checked out. However, pityriasis rosea does not cause a bad itch.

If it itches really bad, get it checked out. I didn't itch that much.. however, when I wasn't sure what it was, my mind fooled me into itching.

Did you get many patches on your stomach? Mine have been pretty isolated to my upper thighs(inner and outer), with a few random ones on both of my hips. Both Wiki and WebMD said that it pretty much always shows somewhere around your stomach.

One big patch above my belly button. I was told it starts from one huge patch (The Herald Patch). If it spreads to your groin, hands, toes or face get it checked out-- If it's spreading there, it -might- be something else.

From the herald patch, it spread outwards, some big patches, some little patches. It looked like I was being bitten while I slept. There are no 'center' to the patches however, it's just a slightly raised, inflamed patch. Additionally, the patches would sometimes be a little ashy. Dryer, flakier skin.

I saw a dermatologist my dad was good friends with, she knew what it was right away. She didn't even have to look at my wee wee. Which I hear is usually standard operating procedure... but she told me if there was anything there, she'd have to sneak a peak--because when it goes to those areas (groin, extremities).. it is a sign that it is something else.

Thankfully there's none on man parts, its just really bad around my thighs.

Also, thankfully, nobody new sees my body these days. I suppose if this had to happen, I'm glad it did almost a year into a relationship.

I was in a relationship and man was it embarassing. I also wasn't sure what it was at the start, so I didn't get too close. If I were you, I'd still keep your distance until you know what it is. It's irresponsible until you know it's safe to be in close contact with eachother... if you know what I mean.

Heading to bed, if you have any other questions. PM me or I'll check this thread.

Meh, that ship has sailed. If he doesn't already have it, he's not getting it.

Yeah I remember they said I had that, and they say I have eczema. The good news is I lube my penis up very well when I masturbate, just by habit. Over the years my patches have been any and everywhere, but I don't remember it being the stomach. Currently, arms and legs.
