BAM
BAM
If seeing Wolverine's ugly mug didn't turn him off, I don't know what will.
I don't think that's what he meant by turn off, mon ami.
The problem is that you don't think.
Au contraire, I actually think too much which allowed me to come to the alternate conclusion.
I just want to say that despite this game doing everything for me, I wish there were an easier mode.
FF games are too hard, I have never finished any of them
lol
Honestly I think the worst part is the game has absolutely no replayability.
I don't have many issues with auto-heal, but the auto-raise/heal means it's impossible to do anything like "1 character challenge" since you can't control them or simply turn them off.
Only way to challenge yourself in the game is to purposely not spend CP(lol, CP), which I don't think will work too well, a lot of the bosses expect you to basically be of "appropriate level" and use moves that leave you with 5%-10% of your health(or entire party's health).
Since you can't do things like pass(most) atk/magic upgrades just to get enough HP to survive, you're basically stuck. You either are "just powerful enough" to make the encounters a joke, or you're not powerful enough to where they may actually be impossible.
Plus game over with main character dying means there's no option to recover and really draw out the fight, you just lose.
True enough, I've played through XII several times with various setups and tooled around with no stat junctions runs and stuff like that in FF8 and so on.
I liked the varied gameplay of the previous iterations. Challenge runs were always one of my favorite things to do, couldn't button mash and truly had to think your way through encounters. I only dislike the fact that you must actively try to keep yourself weak to get that sort of experience from the FF series games.
