Fang COM and Light RAV is alot of damage and easy chains, especially if your third party member is RAV when everyone is full. For single targets, or staggers, sometimes double com rav will rappppppe.
Her elemental strikes are buffed by STR, doesn't hurt to have her as RAV with maxed gladius/helterskelter and str items... in fact, it's alot more magic than axis blade too even though gladius sacrifices that.
Personally I'd like to use axis but atm level 20 helter skelter is raping, and until I get the mats to get to the tier2 axis blade it probably isn't worth it to change. Running aurora band too atm, nice for random battles but for bosses idk, helter will hit hard but t2 axis probably best with the other boost buffs.
I was really about to ask if her elemental hits are powered by STR or MAG but glad I know now.
Its personal preference I guess, though I'd say helter probably would be better as primary Com, but I am personally a huge fan of t2 axis since all combined atm that +20% atb per hit stacked with haste has her filling chain meters so fast, but I almost always have her on Rav.
Also Im beginning to wonder if the ai of your party learns from you as you go, because she is auto-opening with AoE on any encounter with over 4 mobs now, while before she'd begin with single-target and only launch into AoE after I started with blitz or ruinga (I control Fang usually).
All talk about Lightnings weapons and no love for the others lol. How are you going for Fangs wep? I went with Pandora to Calamity because of the boost to enfeebles, since the enfeebles are the primary reason I use her over Snow.
have absolutely no idea what i'm upgrading with who so i figure i'll just keep going until i figure something out.
on a side note, does anybody know what attributes synergist and saboteur moves are based off of, strength or magic?
Any idea how much slower the Omega weapon with slowed ATB gauge goes? Must be a lot, as balanced and good as the weapon is.
I just got Lionheart but I looked it up and at Ultima Weapon * it only goes up to 213 STR/MAG, my Helter-skelter beats it pretty much in every category (-5 in MAG). Is the little 'Quick Stagger' effect really that good? Is the game fucking with me or something, why give such a shitty weapon a great ability? Can anyone who has upgraded Ultima Weapon give insight into whether it is better or worse than my Helter-skelter?
Im not sure if its constant for weapons, but while upgrading a couple accessories, 10-11 Iron shells would give a full bonus xp level. This worked on power wristband, brawlers wristband, and whistlesindscarf. All Ive tested so far. Shells are 80 gil each.
I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to upgrade. I'm in chapter 11 and I haven't touched any weapons at all.
Late to the party but ...
I upgraded the Gladius to star level back in C10.Spoiler: show
Its a VERY good weapon and if you are actually choosing to control Light and choose the "Strike"s over the spells whenever things arent melee immune you are going to see a lot of difference in upgrading the weapon. If you use Light as a Commando in your setup this is the way to go. You only stand to lose some "money" if you choose to upgrade Lionheart once you pick it up. I havent actually used the stone to go to level 2. I chose to upgrade Lionheart to Omega anyway as the Quick Stagger thing far outweighs any other numeric bonuses that may be pure str or pure magic. The question is... where does one pick up the stone to upgrade Lionheart?
As far as I can tell, its like a lot of other things in the game. If you Light as your party leader you will probably not notice a thing. I have had Fang as my leader 90% of the time since I picked her up. But there really is no way of describing how stuff just "jumps to stagger" with Light as leader wielding the Lionheart.

I think the real question is, what is the ideal weapon to upgrade for Fang? I was leaning towards GaeBolg but the Pandoran Spear's upgrade to debuff efficiency is huge so far on bosses.
Anyone know where to get an Adamantite without paying 220,000 for it? Treasure chest, reward, etc.
I pretty much use Fang(COM) Light(RAV) and Hope (RAV) for general walk around atm, ive just got to where i assume is pulse in the L'cie training area.
I upgraded Lights Edged Carbine and Gladius to cap, so i can be a bit diverse with her, need the ash titanium stone to upgrade to razor carbine, hopefully ill come across one soon.
When do Ultra Compact Fusion Reactors become available? I'm on chapter 11 and its not listed in any of the stores.
Also am I able to go back to that open area if I progress with the game?
Where is mission 46? Need to beat it in order to get Dragoon's Lance, and I can't find it.
46 is part of the Titan series of missions. Should be E2 if I remember correctly.
That ring of stones out in the field? I checked those, it's not there.
