Weapon Upgrading

Lionheart fully upgraded best suits a COM/RAV based Lightning because it's for one a balanced weapon but also because of it's add effect. Which is early stagger, which is amazingly nice when trying to stagger something quick with her as a COM and two RAVs.

But you lose so much stats using it as opposed to something else... really?

Stats aren't everything. Some of the weapon bonuses are really good and definitely worth losing stats over depending on how you use characters.

Man I just got lucky as hell, had like 13 of those items that give you full TP and decided to try to get a few of the items for the final weapon. Got 3 in a row, and 7 plat. ingots. Upgraded Lighting, Vana, and Fang. Wish the weapons could be seen outside of battles, Fangs looks wicked.

But..how do you break down ethersols? o.o I can only break down Weapons and Accessories, unless you can do it past chapter 11? That or I'm just totally misreading how he got the Trapez/Ingots, Haha.

My Helterskelter is level 20, my axis blade level 1. Just got to chapter 11 and got Alex... and it looks like the 2nd level of Axis is ownage (especially since I'm using Sazh for haste, and the auroura band)...

But I have no idea where to get the Item to upgrade it to Enk, am I still to far to get it? Doesn't seem worth the upgrade unless I'm going from Level2 weapon > Level2 weapon. The difference in stats is just unfair atm.

edit: it uses Adamantite, which all I know is from R&D Depot (don't have yet). Is there a drop or a treasure or a desynth I can do for it?

No fighting the Adamantoises, just didnt quote the post about farming them. I thought it was obvious lol

But now that I'm in chapter 11 I should be able to grind and farm like crazy right? Should I spend all this money going from a Level2 weapon to a Level1? Or just wait till I get adamantite (whenever that is).

I'm holding out for Lionheart for Lightning, but I'm upgrading the improved debuff weapons for Fang and Vanille and love both of them. Improved Debuff II is disgusting.

I'd probably wait till you have adamantite, unless you are having trouble 5-star'n. The point when you can buy adamantite from R&D, you unlock army of one as well, and that skill imo for a mainly rav Lightning with upgraded Axis is NUTS.

Should I be focusing on RAV then for her? I've been dumping all my points into COM for the ATB segment and since I'm running Light Sazh Vanille

Nah you're probably better off with that wep and Com with that party config for now. You'll have the points for both by the end of chap 11 anyway.

In the meantime I'll probably get Van/Sazh some upgrades... Augment/Stagger maint/chain bonus boost, along with improved debuffing are looking pretty good.

you really want the atb segment anyway as well as it allows blitz->ruinga which wastes AoE encounters (5+ mobs)
