And 80k CP a kill is pretty nice too ;o
The mini ones do 80K CP too? I thought only the larger ones, I'll have to test this later. Also, Despain once you've grinded the shit out of your chars and they all get more HP then you can easily kill them or use the death trick to insta gib them. I farmed over 3 million CP before I attempted to kill one of them. Grind more . All of my chars have 4 level 5 jobs and are halfway to their 5th level 5 job right now for reference.

Only the big ones hit for 9k a stomp (without great wall). "Small" ones don't hit for that much.

The big ones roam around the area and the smaller ones just stand still.

Oh, one more thing... after you defeated all the missions in the "circle area", the adamantoises switch to a black colored version that are stronger - maybe I was thinking about thsoe.

Edit: looks like 60k without 2x CP for small black adamantoise

Big one (black version) gives 100k

Just to clear things up there are several versions of dinosaurs:

Adamanchelid (small ones, no horns, 4,550 CP drops Gold Dust as normal and Scarletite as the rare)
Adamantoise (bigger, metal shell, horns, 40,000 CP drops Platinum Ingot as normal and Trapezahedrons as rare)
Adamantortoise (bigger version of the small one with horns, 40,000 CP drops Platinum Ingot as normal and Trapezahedrons as rare)

Once you complete the missions from the circle of Cie'th stones (I think it's 56-62) the Adamantoise become stronger.

Adamantoise => Long Gui (100,000 CP, normal drops)
Adamantortoise => Shaolong Gui (60,000 CP, drops Gold Nugget as the normal and Dark Matter as rare)

It's better not to complete the Cie'th stone missions until you complete your ultimate weapons as you'll want to be able to farm Trapezahedrons easier and also the Platinum Ingots are great for making gil.

Also i've been using the Death trick, I found it's a good idea to cast Imperil first, it's pretty easy. Over a few hours i've gotten 2m or so CP, over a million gil and 3 Trapezahedrons. I've been using the gil to dismantle Ethersols though to speed things up.

The King Behemoth spot is pretty crucial (fighting with the big dog/wolf thing, like mentioned earlier in the thread in the Steppe when you first get to Gran Pulse and are moving towards the next objective). 100% preemptive attack, and it was a little dicey at first.

Used Bully Paradigm (Light-COM, Sazh-SYN, Vanille-SAB), just kept attacking with Light to keep the KB near stagger, while buffs/debuffs went up. When I started doing this, I couldn't keep KB juggled/staggered long enough to finish him off (after switching to Relentless), in which case he's inevitably start Thundaga'ing my group and would eventually use Sunder to one-shot Light.

I sold accessories I had that I saw were available in the shops, upgraded weapons to the first tier Star, and it got a lot easier from that point on. I think when I started, I was using a Lv. 18ish Gladius (got it to 26/Star), and Lv. 9 Deneb Duelers (got them to 26/Star) for Sazh, and Lv. 7 Pearlwing Staff (got it to 26/Star). Now, it doesn't matter if he stands up and heals himself, got the fight down to 50/51 seconds, start out with COM/SYN/SAB like before, most of the time don't wait for Bravery to go up on Light, just go after she gets Enfire and go to town. Sometimes he's dead before he gets to stagger, or the killing blow staggers him when I switch to Relentless (COM/RAV/RAV).

Thanks for this, lol... now I have everyone's tiers with the 6k/8k/10k per crystal nearly maxed, after backtracking from being halfway through to Oerba. :D

I guess he meant he dismantles something to get Ethersols since you need them to use eidolons constantly?

since there's a choco near the king behemoth/white thing fighting and one near the large adamantoise I just go kill an adamantoise then run back and kill the behemoth duo til I get enough TP to summon then repeat over and over. I've killed lots of the big guys but haven't gotten one trapezhidron yet

Easiest and quickest way to do this fight so far for me has been Light/Fang/Sazh, RAV/COM/SYN, attack the KB first to get him staggered and then immediately attack the dog right after to stagger him as well. Switch back to the KB and kill him because if he doesn't die first then he just heals to full and stands up and wastes your time. If you do this correctly the KB will die almost instantly and the dog will have enough staggered left to finish him off within one attack round and you'll get your 6.6k CP in about 18s per fight.

Mah'habara - Maw of the Abyss (path after behe/tiger)

save station > juggernaut room > back to save station

takes me a little over 5min and nets me 33k CP + decent materials for upgrading

7 solenoid, 4 bomb cores, 2 bomb ashes, and 6 analog circuits from my last trip

Anyonw got any good spots for farming a lil' Gil? Currently doing Mission 24 over and over, reward is a Moonblossom seed for 6k per, but seems a little slow.

I'm on this right now and have capped out all but sazh/vanille weapons, and capped out ACC items [3 STR, 2MAG, and 1HP acc items] for my main party. It is slow, but so far it is worth it and shines in each fight.

It's by the zone to Mah'habara but that doesn't help much if you don't know where that zone is since they are not labeled. I'll draw a map...

    3. Best CP in the game

The best spot for grinding CP, hands down, is Ochu. He gives 26,660CP per run, can be Preemptived every time, and killed in a short amount of time. Here is the video showing you what he is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBVLeZfw5Rw Before you start grinding Ochu though, you should get the best gear for the fastest battles. When done properly, as soon as Ochu dies, the remaining Mandragora get broken easily and taken out ASAP.
Someone else mentioned this spot; and their strat was to 2x Quake to kill the mandies and then spam death on Ochu

Check out that thread for more money making/farming ideas.
