Just to double post again since I wasn't sure if related to story or not, but if you repair the robot in Oerba, it'll reward you with items up to 500k+ 3 plat ingots for 150k each, Gold Nugget for 50-60k, 5 perfumes for 12 or 15-16k each, and I think some kind of moogle that sells for about 18k. Posting this since a few people seemed to missed it.

Can you do that after finishing the game? Since I heard somewhere that you can't I think?

I don't think you can go back to the final dungeon based on what Correction said about farming there...

Pretty sure you can... although I haven't tried either.

And it's lame about Ochu trick being gone... That spot was my golden farming sport for the JP version lol.

But yeah, that Vampire one was the first one I got actually heh... didn't even look for it, simply fought everything.
Just noticed that this particular Vampire has a little red circle beneath it.

cannot go back to that last dungeon, at least I havent found a way.. You can only go back to Grand pulse or Eden city ( which is a very good place to farm money, there is an easy adamantoise that drops trapezoidrons for your final weapons, and the military mobs drop good money drops, especially those female monks type).

in Taehin's Tower, on the 6th teir theres a place near some stairs where there are 5 pulsework gladiators.
If you can sneak up on them, they take about 30seconds for me to kill. just spam blitz and ruinga. if you dont sneak up on them, takes a little under a minute.
you get 8k CP for killing them.
to respawn them you just go up the stairs that are right behind you, then come back down.

Having trouble with this, keep trying to kill the Sanctum Guard first but the Varandisraus
thing hits like a truck forcing me to keep swtiching paradigms every few seconds. Its Mounting Momentum/Contempt move does 4-5k and sometimes one shots me for 15k+

EDIT: He's easy as fuck with a Pre emptive strike though

Might seriously consider starting a new game, 64,000 CP/min is too good to pass up... Maxing out crystarium otherwise is going to be slow as hell. Hoping there's DLC eventually that will add new mobs/hunts.

At what point in the game can you get the CP egg? And the best farming spot is in ch 13 at the very end (that you cant get back to)? hmm lol. I just hit ch 11 so I guess I should work on Behe's or is there better?

From Missions 55. You can do this early with Vanille's Death trick.

Either that Behe fighting that White thing near the save point, or that spot in Tower.

Start with Varandisraus, then Move to the Guard, Guard has higher Stagger and takes slighty longer 2 kill, Vara is much faster to kill, also reduces your dmg taken, typical when i first start fight i did: Com/Sen/Rav pt build untill i got alil stronger, then you can start doing com/rav/rav(Start) > com/rav/med(when need healed) Bck to start... Note i suggest farming these good bit after your finished, at point i'm now coasting me 60k/Cry :S,

There was a very helpful thread that fell down on the front page for this section called 'Best in Slot items' here is the information from it for obtaining the Grow Egg, I used it and got mine with a bit of struggling.

Mission #55 rewards you w/ the accessory "Grow Egg" (2x CP for All Characters). Obviously, this is an incredible item, but the battle itself is far from easy. Thankfully, there is a "cheap strategy"...

Leader: Vanille (Nirvana or Malboro Wand, Dash Shoes)
    Member #1: Fang (Dash Shoes)
    Member #2: Hope (Dash Shoes)

    Optima #1: Jammer/Defender/Healer (Default Optima)
    Optima #2: Healer/Defender/Attacker
    Optima #3: Healer/Attacker/Attacker

Neochu isn't immune to Vanille's Death, and we will use it to ensure a swift victory. She *must* have Nirvana or Malboro Wand, and if at all possible, 2000+ Magic Stat. Power Smoke, Barrier Smoke. When the battle starts, spam him with Death until he dies, then switch to Optima #2 or Optima #3 and clean up the remaining enemies.
Mission 55 is located in Oerba on the top of the rooftop around this area:

To obtain the Haste Shoes (which help a bunch) you'll need to follow the below quote also from the 'Best in Slot items' thread, thanks Appie! I was unable to do this without them on my healer at least, couldn't keep up heals as Lightning. Also, a pair for your Medic won't hurt because the little plant guys hit fucking hard and fast.

What's a very nice item to have is Sprint Shoes, gives auto-haste. Guides for this thing have been around long since the JP version but it basically works like this:

    - Get a Tetra Tiara or Crown (mission 7 drops them and can get 1 from chocobo digging).
    - Buy 4 Iron Bangles (just cheapest accessory, some say you need the bangles in your inventory before you get a Tiara or Crown, they are wrong, I made 3 of these today in this order). Don't upgrade the bangles or anything.
    - Upgrade the Tetra Tiara or Crown to * level (thing has just 1 level to go *
And I guess this was the key in the order and how some people messed this up and ended up not getting the shoes.
    - Go to the Dismantle menu
    - Break down the 4 iron bangles
    - Then break down the Tetra Tiara or Crown
    - If you used Tiara you will get Sprint Shoes and if you used Crown you will get Hermes' Shoes which can be upgraded to Sprint Shoes (needs 1 level and a pervoskite).

Can also get a set of Hermes' Shoes from a mission, think it was in the 30 range. And another mission has Sprint iirc.
Personally, I had to go into the fight a few times to get an idea of what I needed. I went in with huge balls with Lightning/Sazh/Vanille as COM/RAV/SAB and got my ass handed to me. Tried MED/SYN/SAB, ass handed to me again. The little shits hit hard and fast and you pretty much need a SEN if you are doing this before or shortly after the end of the game and you haven't CP farmed at all. So I dropped Sazh () and put in Snow as SEN as the quote suggested. Even with Snow on SEN with his nearly 10k HP the little guys still brought him to his knees, so I had to equip him with a bunch of resist physical items. After that, with the Haste Shoes on my healer I was able to keep up with the heals a bit better, but it does wear off so if you can't live without the haste then you might be in trouble. The next issue is when the SEN loses hate after Provoke wears off. When Provoke wears off the little guys will start going for your healer and Vanille. If your SEN can get back hate before one dies it's cool, but if your MED dies it's game over, your SEN will probably drop soon after before you can raise and things will just fall apart.

Don't go into this thinking, I will just retry until Death works 'lol so ez' because quite simply, No. That will not work. You need to be able to kill the little guys even after Death works on the Ochu, so if you are not able to safely tank the little guys comfortably with a SEN/MED then you are going to lose even if the Ochu dies.

Is there any way to get a preemptive strike on the Varandisraus/guard combo other than a shroud?

On that ramp? Probably not.. the Varandisraus is like omniscient and always does the little hop/face you thing.
