You must be avoiding half the enemies in the game if it's giving you that much trouble.

I fight most everything in my storyline path and I've very rarely fought the same group twice, usually only if they respawned while going to a dead-end treasure.

I recommend grinding a bit and prioritizing spending CP on HP nodes... or slap on pairs of Tungsten Bangles or whatever you got similarly.

haven't been skipping any mobs, but i did realize i missed all the chests in that room otw to the boss

so i backtracked and got them. now gonna give the boss another try, light sitting at 1500 hp now, so maybe she can live

I beat him my first time, but how the hell u beat him in 5min. It took me 14 min lol

Yeah, I don't know how you get him in 5min, cause I finally won at like 9min using COM/RAV/MED 99% of the time, only using COM/SEN/SYN to buff up and that's it. Once you stun destrudo it becomes more of a battle against time than staying alive. Before I figured that out, I spammed some more battles and upgrading bangles to get a few more hp on Lightning.

Not surprised this guy has his own thread. First fight I died on more than once. Everyone seems to have their own issues with him, mine was that he one-shotted Lightning twice with full buffs, I was raging so hard. I still don't know what I did different the third time that made Destrudo less lethal or if it was just luck. Actually that was the fourth time come to think of it, I died the very first time to -ga spam on his first form, but I didn't use Fortisol or Aegisol so it was my own fault.

It was funny when I summoned Odin though, he did less damage than my party would have done on their own. Zantetsuken only did around 1.2k and I was like >_> that's just great. But summoning did seem to stop Destrudo from charging, which was nice and bought me a little time.

They are honestly all extremely underwhelming. Damage is pathetic on most of them when you compare it to what even a single party member is capable of at same stagger levels. But they do come in handy every now and then. Bahamut fucked up a Tonberry x3 mission that initially seemed impossible at my current stats by blasting them all at 999.9% stagger.

I dunno, shiva hurts pretty bad. I remember everyone hitting for 800's and all of a sudden Snow uses Diamond Dust for well over 10k.

Maybe that dies down later in the game, but at least early on, Snow is a killer when he has a fully charged level 3 super.

Highest I've ever done with a summon is about 300k. Not terrible but any of my COMs could have done that solo to a staggered mob in less time, not to mention that most bosses have several million HP. Functionally, the eidolons are just FF7's Phoenix materia with a graphics update.
