Question about this chapter, too. After you deal with Bart, do you REALLY have to walk your happy ass all the way back to the first area on Gran Pulse? If so I may just end it now.

That fight was crazy for me, only just made it.

I went Light, Snow, Vanille.

COM/SEN/MED for the most part, Light on COM to keep my stagger meter, RAV/COM/RAV when my HP was high enough to go without a tank for a couple of rounds, COM/SEN/SAB or MED/SEN/SAB when he buffs(Faith and Haste) himself and MED/SEN/MED when shit hit the fan.

Nothing really extra ordinary on equipment, max Gladius, max Healers Staff and I think Lv.3 on Snows weapon. Not really upgraded many of my accessories.

Literally just made it though, <10 seconds left on Doom and summoned Odin, who pretty much just about killed it for me. Most exciting battle I've had in an RPG yet.

Once you start Chapter 12 there's no backtracking to the major areas of Gran Pulse until you are just about at the final boss of the game. There are teleporters in the cleared version of the final dungeon that take you back to base camp in Gran Pulse.

Watched my fiancee put the hurt on Bart with Fang/Vanille/Sazh. Fight was easy as she went in with their 3 primary roles all maxed out. Used Com/Med/Rav for the majority of the fight, switched to Sab/Med/Syn for buffs. She only used Haste to get him to Stagger faster and de-shell, de-protect, and slow. Then just rinse and repeat until dead. Managed to get 5 star and got him down in 9 mins.

So, as for the doubling back to pulse to farm and upgrade and stuff, you DO get a warp back to the base camp before the final boss room? Right now I just fought the baby-turtle forced fight in Ch12

You just have to walk back to the beginning of oerba and use the waypoint there if you wanna get back to Gran pulse.

Yeah, he was really easy if you've been leveling your characters. It's sad to say I expected more of Bart.

He kicked my ass a few times, I beat the game fast around 32 hours. So almost not grinding at all. This boss was the only one I did a very sma?? Amout of grinding for. Did not even cap anyone (not even close) when I beat any given area.
