dunno if it has been said but the Delta Attack paradigm, wasn't that the name of the Magus Sister's move in FFX?
I mentioned already that Nautilus = Gold Saucer (when I was there), but... when Sazh and Vanille have their scene where he faces his Eidolon... notice what the background/setting is? The haunted hotel from the Gold Saucer where you spend the night in FF7.
You only have Cid listed as a reference from FFII?
He's in every FF ever. Even the crappy CGI movie.
the huge open area in gran pulse, reminds me of the calm in FFX or whatever the big fields name was were Braska killed Sin.
put it in II since he first came from there lol.
but i'm aware he's recurring.
Ah yea.. paradigms..
Dualcasting - Dualcast is an ability in older FFs
Cerberus - not necessarily FF nod, but 3 headed beast boss/GF/HNM
Delta Attack - Magus Sister's attack
Tri-disaster - Valigarmanda's attack (aka Tritoch)
Atomos is a giant ball in FF9, cept its got spikes in 13. Lightning's gunblade looks way cooler than that other guy's, and it actually shoots bullets.... unlike that other emo guy's. It's just overall better! ....
....
...
..
.
Squall was lame
i was under the impression Squall shot blanks, hence the fact that his gunblade fire only seems to work in close range (from the gunpowder emission) and no bullet trails or whatever
The gunblade shot blanks. The purpose of it shooting was to cause a vibration on impact to make the hit stronger.
Cie'th are named after the series' undead mobs (ghoul, vampyr and such), so in a way they are this game's "undeads".
The Undying is a specific group of Cie'th, not a general term
I don't think I saw this mentioned, but a fair amount of the weapons are taken almost straight from FFT/FFTA:
Nirvana
Save The Queen
Kain's Lance
I realize they're in other games too, just where I happen to know them best from.
