Games you shouldn't like but do.

    The Last Remnant

It is a... "JRPG" :/ Though it does have a battle system which is cool and different.

After being raped a dozen times from a bullshit boss, it knows how to jerk you off properly. Music changes based on the situation on the battlefield. So you get some inspiring rock tune that puts Dynasty Warriors to shame, and it is basically signaling you to "END THIS SHIT" and you move your 3 or 4 teams to converge on a single target in an awesome fashion. GETS ME PUMPED. FUCK YOU BULLSHIT BOSS, WHOS RAPING WHO NOW? Swings too much from easy to fucking hard, but what can you expect from a game like this? Well you can't expect a sequel, fuck. Also the music is the best. THE BEST. Art design is pretty goddamn good too.

Is League of Legends that DOTA-like game where levels continue on after games?

    And c9 was real cool.

Last Remnant pissed me off so bad, but I still put well over 300 hours into it (also fuck that game for not counting playtime). Even though they're not alike, Infinite Undiscovery came out about the same time, and I really loved that though.

And I think I'm the only person in the world who liked Alone in the Dark: Inferno.

BRP you should check out Deadly Premonition. Seems like the kinda thing that you'd like, in a 'so bad it's good' way. For 20 bucks I'm enjoying it lol

yeah, theres 2 of them. heroes of newerth and league of legends. both spawned from DOTA but LOL took a few shitty elements out of it(imo) and made it more fun. HON is a little bit more like DOTA. I think theres a lack of balance in HON too

but yeah, LOL you can level your 'summoner' which is your account, and you get a talent tree and a book where you can unlock runes, you earn points that go towards unlocking champions and buying runes and stuff. the champion always starts at level 1 in games, but the mastery/rune kinda help out your character when you start.

i dunno, i started playing like 4 days ago and im hooked

Oh yeah, the thing about Last Remnant is that it got a bunch of shit for "tech" problems like slowdown and textures. These problems are completely absent from the PC version. And yet... The PC score on Metacritic is identical to the Xbox360 one. I normally don't pay attention to metacritic, but when that got brought to my attention it stood out.

    Metacritics abstracts are hilarious

The Last Remnant is a stale JRPG with interesting combat and lovely graphics.
Why does Square Enix port a mediocre game like Last Remnant and not a hit like Final Fantasy?!

EDIT: Since I am still rambling about this game, I just wanted to say it had better races.

Oh, and to actually add something relevant to the thread I'll say Bahamut Lagoon.
There was a lot not to like but I thought mixing the typical jRPG combat system with the 'tactical' jRPG(sRPG) setup was pretty cool.

Neither are very interesting on their own so I'm not too sure why I was so interested with a game that mixed the two.
