I actually am not really a big fan of motionplus, mostly because it requires big tiresome motions to register, so it definitely feels like you're gaining precision but at the cost of a slightly more relaxing gaming experience. Still, I'm not really going to make any judgments about Move being good/bad until I actually get it.
You can recalibrate the Move to use it when sitting down. Only games that don't work well with sitting down so far are the dancing games (obviously) and The Shoot, as a special move in The Shoot requires you to spin on the spot to slow down time, and reviewers tried to trick it but couldn't, you need to spin. Other than that, the rest can pretty much be played sitting down.

Hmm... that's good to know then, I really tried to get into red steel 2 but standing up and flailing around got annoying (mostly because it'd try to play after working out, when my muscles were already sore) and then I ended up getting motion sickness from standing too close to the screen lol

The pointer sensor feels (when properly calibrated) as accurate as a wii. It can get fucked up though due to gyroscope drift after a while - most games have you recalibrate fairly often, which sounds like a pain at first but becomes second nature and takes two seconds during a loading screen.

Playing sports champions isn't something you'll do on the couch. I can't play Gladiator Duel for more than 15 mins or so without really feeling it in my (fucked up) shoulders. There's no wrist-waggling to properly swing the sword here, it's 1:1 and you need to really swing to do damage.

It's like playing Wii golf - you probably could while sitting but it's going to be much harder.

Probably a good thing that there's yet to be 'waggle' from what I'm seeing in any of the games. I get the feeling Sony has a hand in that matter.

I'm not sure if I'm picking up Champions when I get the Move. I already own the cam, and the bundle that includes the cam/move/game makes it feel like a waste of money to just buy the move/game separately. I'll probably just wait it out until the game itself hits budget price. Better yet, Sony should have just bundled it with the Move freely so you're not empty handed as far as having something to try the controller out on when you leave the store, assuming you don't own any of the games that are getting support for it patched in at a later date.

Granted, I do see them having Move 'greatest hits' packages in the future like they do with the DualShock 3s, where it's basically the price of the controller + $5 for the packed in game.

Some games have a few "waggle" moves, Gladiator duel has a jump attack where you quickly swing both arms up and your character jumps and does a downthrust - something you just can't really (nor would you want to) physically do. I assume that the "Move-Supported" games will have more "gesture-based" movements, and the "move-required" will be more 1:1.

PS Store got loaded up with some PS Move games w/ demos tonight. Ugh, I want to play Tumble so fucking bad right now, wish the damn controller was released this Monday, not Friday.

Thats the only deal I know of for the Move. I don't know how to properly link to individual posts because I suck at internet <_<

In any case, if anyone knows of any better deals on the move controllers, I'd love to hear it. The Navigation Controller is actually(from looking at the real package) far superior in terms of ergonomics for gaming. It even has the X and O buttons on it. Probably won't get that right off the bat but I'd much rather use it than the DS3+Move combo.

I wish there was a TRU near my location, they seem to be having awesome deals on games weekly.
(not sure if they apply to Canadian TRU also though)

Regardless, unless I order online I doubt I'd be able to find a deal locally with Walmart/EB Games/etc. I'm just getting the Move controller itself and try out the demos on the disc that comes with it. Then from there buy Tumble on PSN because I've been wanting to play a game like that for a long time without the burden of analog controls.

Hmm, that KMart deal looked hot until i read what a "gaming coupon" was. $10 off but only active after the 26th? I might still do it but I didnt really want any other games from kmart...

If the coupon works on PSN/XBLA point cards that may be one route to go.

[EDIT] A heads up, seems only the PS Move/Cam/Game bundle comes with the demo disc, not the controller itself. I wish I knew that earlier, would have grabbed it even if it meant having a 2nd PS Eye camera.

On a side note, looks like my local EB Games got shit for stock, they sold their last individual controller as I entered. So I walked to the Walmart 2min away, they had 26 in stocks. ;/

Playing some Tumbl, and I have to say, I did not expect the Move to be able to display as many colours as it can. But regardless, fuck this game for choosing pink as the best colour for my current cam conditions.

Not sure how many people on BG have it (I've seen 0 people on my friendlist playing move titles.) but I got Move today and I honestly like it a lot.

I picked up the Move bundle(giving my old camera away) 1 Move controller(Remote) and 1 Navigation Controller(nunchuk).

I'll give some personal opinions for those interested:
    1) If you play very close to your tv, be prepared for a tiny bit of issues. No game is unplayble at ~5 feet away but I do feel like the games are best played at 8+(as recommended by sports champs.) Every once in a while my Remote will end up off camera because I'm really THAT close to the screen.
    2) Nunchuks are almost a necessity if you dont have big hands or arent sitting down. I could play RE5 while sitting down with the Remote/DualShock combo, but it is no where near as comfortable as the Nunchuk. And standing with it is out of the question for me.
3)Prices were indeed a tad high, but I did get back 35$ for my purchase. Never ever buy games/systems/accessories for their MSRP unless you're getting some sort of deal.
    4) The controller measures power very very well. If you are playing Table Tennis and you don't take your shots (lol)seriously then you will probably lose.
    5) As I typed this I was charging my 2 Remotes using standard miniUSB cables (1 from my DualShock glove kit, the other from a Sony Walkman). I will probably never buy the charging stand. The utility is there, and so is the convenience, but the cheapo in me won't allow it.
    6) Synching a Remote to a Nunchuk is not explained in any instructions. Even google didnt help. For RE5 you had to press L3 on the Nunchuck and press the Wave button on the Remote.

So yeah. If you get tired easily I wouldn't recommend sports champs. But as far as everything else I do enjoy it a lot and would recommend it to the people who have interest in it. With what I have personally played, I'm really looking forward to the kind of content developers may put out.

One last thing. Every game on Sports champ can be played with 1 Remote, and the back of the box actually says "1 Motion Controller per player." Unfortunately, the game is 10x more enjoyable with 2 Remotes and yes 2 people can use 2 separate ones for a total of 4 on screen at once(which we dont have enough money to try :\)

Oh god this. I made my throwing arm sore for a day when I was playing disc golf more seriously by trying to maximize the throwing distance. Same deal for gladiator duel, slow swings do little damage, and getting a large one in deals a critical.

It feels fucking great though compared to the Wii which mainly used the Motion+ to recognize a gesture and just animate from there rather than actually following through with the motion.

I was under the impression that the games would just use whatever analog-based stick is present since they all connect as their own controller ID. Good to know though, perhaps that was RE5-specific though.

Should be mentioned that if you plan to platinum the game (good luck >.>), you need two Moves for it as one of the trophies is playing all the games that support two moves.....with two moves. ;/

I'll be getting a second Move the day Sony introduces another bundle. I made the stupid decision of buying the Move alone....then realizing the demos on PSN sucked (aside from Tumble), so I went out and bought Sports Champions. I should have just paid $10 more from the get go and got the bundle, which would have netted me a spare camera, and a demo disc.

I assume they'll be doing bundles down the road like they do with dualshock 3's, putting them in a package of a "Greatest Hits" title that'll make extensive use of it, but we won't see that for a year or two.

Side note: Sony really should have put a single USB port in the rear of the PS3 Slims to use as a dedicated port for the camera.

Having tons of fun with this. I knew I'd like it, but I didn't think I would like it this much. The accuracy is absolutely insane. I've played a lot of (real) table tennis, and when I use the same exact motions in the game, they translate completely realistically. I honestly didn't believe that this kind of technology was possible, at least not for video games. I hope it does really well so we can see even more awesome games/uses in the future.

I have the worst desktop layout for something like this, but I think it's doable if I get a corner-cantilever hdtv stand. There's an L-shaped desk with my monitor on it, so the tv will be sitting across the corner above everything, leaving the proper 8+ ft for gameplay.

I gave table tennis a try at my buds house the night before last, and its fuckin' frustrating and useless to have less than 6 feet of space for the Move, fyi. The camera is just too close for it to calibrate correctly, and table tennis allows the player to move back quite a bit -- that might be vital when the game gets more challenging in advanced difficulties.

So yes, if you have less than 6' of space, don't be a dipshit and buy blindly -- you're just going to get mad when you finally start playing it.

Only thing I've yet to see for myself is a game that was built right for crosshair-less aiming, for games such as lightgun shooters.. As it stands I feel the Wii is better suited to it due to that controller having two sets of IRs to align itself with, rather than the PS Move being stuck with a single ball as a point of 3d reference.

The guy behind iWaggle3d blog did a couple tests, but his problems appeared to be more of the software being at fault than it is controller accuracy: http://iwaggle.blogspot.com/2010/09/...n-move-vs.html
