Does anyone live in/near Seattle, WA?
yeah i do, what's up?
For about half of the year I do
I think Kiro does too
I've been half considering moving to the Seattle area for a while now, and becoming more serious about it and on the verge of applying to various corporations in the area for when I graduate.
I currently live in Orlando, FL so I'm moving from Suburbs and metropolitan city to what I am thinking is a geographically small big city
Just kind of wondering what you have to bitch/praise about the area
I actually love the area, it's got a lot to offer. Summer especially, weather is pretty much perfect. I originally lived in the Chicago suburbs and Seattle is pretty similar, although the suburbs don't really sprawl as much, and the city itself is much much smaller. I don't like the drivers there though, they are all very slow and unaware of how to properly drive.
Seattle is a hippie town. Keep that in mind. Mostly Volvos and Subarus on the roads. It's a huge city though, biggest west coast port outside of CA and a waterfront city.
It's a great place, I love Seattle, Puget Sound and even a bit lower, Portland and the surrounding area.
One of the major things that I'm looking for if I decide to go is that I'm hoping that I'll be able to rely on public transportation much more than I am here, I've heard a lot of good things about the bus and metro systems for Seattle, something like you can get anywhere via bus in Seattle in only 10 min and a $2
if rain doesnt bother you, by all means.
go a bit north and be a canadian
I've never really used the bus system but I think you can rely on it for the most part. 10 minutes might be an exaggeration even within the city, I know it can get quite a bit longer if you're heading to the suburbs or depending on the time of day.
Also it only rains in the winter, don't let the reputation deter you. Although during the winter it is ALWAYS gray and rainy.
I live in Florida, I'm used to rain. I like the rain, it's not so bad, at least not here.
I dont think I'd mind and might prefer it, I like rain. IDK about snow yet
Numbers if you touch moots you will never get to touch me
Oh wait this is the part where you tell me how much you hate me again
I never tell you that I hate you
but you choose women over him all the time
