Is there a reason why the Penguins target time is insanely high? These die in like 20-25 sec, lol, but target time is around 3min 44 sec it seems. I haven't even continued the story since I got here, I kinda like this place now that I can kill everything minus Adamantoise. I still can't seem to find the mission 14 or w/e is needed for Chocobo Digging, some of the stones I can't even get to since they're up on a hill.

Trying this, can't get it to work

Using the summon, cast death like 10-15times, maybe more, before the battle ends, and none of them go through :/ tried twice now with no luck. Also, doing this, when it eventually works, would waste the summon tp <.<

No matter what you'll have low accuracy, the idea is though that even with a less than 10% chance of hitting Death, you'll not need to try more than 4 times to get it to work, on average, which is a lot easier than trying to kill them 'the hard way.'

I won't lie, a lot of my money came from farming Orphan's Cradle. Perfume sells for a lot and it's easy to respawn that pack of 7/5 pulls by the end portals.

If you just beat the game you might want to grind some more and get your magic up and make a malboro/nirvana wand. If I dont get it on my first try I almost always get it on my first retry. I have 4/5 LV 5 jobs on all chars for reference.

Another question, what do you think would be the earliest that you should be able to get the growth egg without too many problems? (And any idea which missions are the pre-reqs for it?

)

Because if u suck (like I did when I first arrived in GP) and take too long to kill them, they summon a dragon or something like that, and he's pretty tough.

I just got to GP as well and boy did I have a rude awakening, some of these mobs are bitches. Going to grind CP for now, I did the first two hunts and five stared them np.

I just got it and i havent advanced to ch.12 yet. Took about an hr just doing the death spam(only have about a min per try before he AoE's you do death). Very repetative and frustrating but i love this thing lol. For reference, my characters are only capped lvl 4 on the starter roles, havent upgraded any other jobs.

I only did through mission 14 and was able to accept it.

They're not called that. You probably already have one. Look for a catalog in your inventory, and then upgrade it if it's not the + rare item version already.

oh ok, collectors catalog, yeah i got that as a mission reward. Is there even any change in potency when you upgrade it before you transform it? or only when you use a catalyst on it?

I am curious if stacking them works... thinking about upgrading the Survivalist Catalog to the Connoisseurs Catalog so I will have two for farming. Also curious if the Rare Drop one also covers normal drops or if the increased normal drop rate just disappears entirely.
