Gran Pulse

Not sure if this has been asked but if I progress with the story can I go back to the main area of gran pulse to do the missions? (By progressing with the story I meanz going all the way up until right before the last boss.) I'm only in the tunnel just after so plz no spoilers

Once you beat the Chapter 11 boss there will be a "Do you want to go etc etc" option. If you choose yes, you have to do all of chapter 12 and start chapter 13 before you can go back to Gran Pulse.

is there some point to Ochu besides the fact that it has a cutscene before it appears? Does it drop anything special? I just spent like 20 minutes killing it pretty early in chapter 11, probably before I'm supposed to, got 0 stars and no drops but 13k CP lol

I read you get 26k CP but people must have the double CP band on, might be all it's good for?

Used to be the best way to grind CP in the JP version, but they fixed it in NA/EU version, so it's really no point anymore.

I just got to Gran Pulse and i have to say everything is tough there (I haven't really missed many fights till now maybe 3 or 4). Behe + dogs I get owned, 2 giant flans I get owned, Lizard with shell thingy + dogs i get owned.... what can i easily farm when i first get here???? it's really frustrated me so I gave up for the night <.<

On a side note i just picked up Mission 4 and i can't for the life of me find my Mark. Can someone please help me ?

start out with just 3-4 dogs (the little ones), just 2 flans, and 3-4 goblins, then you can probably move on to Amphisbaena (the flying things) as you get a little stronger.

If you have a SEN and a MED you can cheese your way through most everything, as long as you're prepared to not get any stars lol

Just jump off the ledge right near where the mission stone is, it'll bring up a whole different map along with missions mark being on it.

So...just got to the TITAN CHALLENGE! Haven't beat the game, have ~7000 HP on my characters, 2300 STR on Light, used Aegisol + Fortisol -> went into the 4th battle (probably not the best battle for my character ... the cie'th in the magic shell that uses multi-cast) and get almost immediately wrecked.

Did I just make bad pathing choices? Are there easy-to-stagger or melee weak final bosses that may be better suited to me? Slow-attacking but 1-shotting behemoths would be a more welcome sight than this magic-only-until-stagger-but-unlaunchable bullshit is driving me nuts. I had to exit and am debating doing it again or just waiting until after the game - something I really don't want to do.

You are probably doing the same thing I did when I first got there. They make it sound like you can choose a path to any one of the endings and that will be that. However, you have to do all the paths apparently and I am guessing 5 star them to unlock the last one. For the last column of challenges, the E's I believe, the top 3 are hard and the bottom 3 are easy. I have no idea how to unlock the last mission though, if you find out or if somebody knows feel free to post it here.

Anyway, to beat him, I posted the strategy in another thread, or at least the easiest way when you aren't that buff, as I was not either when I first attempted him....

That the 'Inertial Barrier' guy? I did Lightning/Sazh/Vanille (always). RAV/RAV/RAV break him, as soon as he breaks start an 'Army of One' for the bullet time and no lag paradigm switch, go to RAV/RAV/SAB until Vanille lands deprotect/deshell/imperil or whatever you need, then switch to COM/RAV/RAV during an Army of One. You will win if you do this flawlessly. Use smokes for buffs or start as MED/SYN/MED for buffs before you go RAV/RAV/RAV to break him. This is basically a 'kill him before he kills you' strategy, I don't bother trying to heal. I guess if you can't one shot him like this then you'd go MED heavy with SYN and buff and heal before going RAV/RAV/RAV again to break and finish him off.

I beat all the missions in that little pyramid thing but you need to 5 star them all I think to unlock the last one, it is still ???? on my thing but I've done all the nodes in the tree of missions.

If you have to 5-star them I'll just come back later. You said before you killed one of the larger turtles also, did you do that before beating the game?

Grow egg (2xexp) is from Mission 55 - nothing to do with trials.
And as I said no need to 5-star them. But I left that barrier guy for when I was a little stronger, there are some other easier paths.

Gokulo mind explaining how you get the last mission then? I've done them all and no obvious way has opened up, I'm all ears.

I did this all after beating the game Sath, if you haven't done that I recommend you do. The upgrades in the 10th stage of the Crystarium really are amazing, not sure some of this stuff is possible without it honestly.
