Got 3 out of the end bosses for Titan beat now but ugh, Tonberry path pre-boss is fucking me up major. THEY'RE TOO HARD TO STAGGER AND I SUCK WITH MAGIC

Gokulo mind explaining how you get the last mission then? I've done them all and no obvious way has opened up, I'm all ears.

I did this all after beating the game Sath, if you haven't done that I recommend you do. The upgrades in the 10th stage of the Crystarium really are amazing, not sure some of this stuff is possible without it honestly.

I'm not exactly sure if the stone for last mission can be found in any of the last areas or only in some, at least I went for the one in the upper part of the chart (the area with 3 tonberry I believe) and there's a new stone to teleport to the last mission.

Btw. some tactics for it since it's a weird fight:

You cannot break him (at least his stagger point is said to be none and his bar goes up to 999, lucky break never proc'd for me), but you should build up his stagger bar to at least 300 for better damage. Start buffed and debuff him too (depro, deshell, slow) and start whacking - Rav/Rav/Com for me for nice dmg and stagger bar. After like 1/3 of his hp is gone he will change swords. At that point you want to switch to Com/Med/Sen - it was Light/Van/Fang for me. The problem with this boss is he uses Doom on the controlled character at one point if you fight him normally and since it's a long fight you never make it out alive. But if you go with this setup - mind you, I'm not sure if your controlled character can be SEN, with my setup I never seen him use Doom, but I controlled Light - he shouldn't use it at all. At this point you only change for a second to rebuff/debuff and just whack away with Com/Med/Sen - it's a long and boring tactic but the only one I found to be 100%.

Eeeee just managed to down a greater turtle using Death...I may just get this omega weapon finished before beating the game after all!

You could try using Random Instant Stagger. Equip Energy or Speed Sash together (I think that's what they're called, the sashes), or you can pair it with a Stagger Lock Weapon, or with the shrowd dropping catalog(I think). It makes it so you randomly sometimes auto stagger the enemy. Easiest way to deal with tonberries/cactuars, I think.

The ones you can't kill because they one shot you with Quake/Stomps are the ones that drop Traps. The little ones don't drop anything good really.

They both drop Plats and Traps at the same rate supposedly.

And does MAG help land rate of debuffs or nah? Debating dropping more money into vanille or not.

Thats mission 64, almost broke my ps3 controller doing that one for 5 stars.

Toise and Tortoise drop the exact same stuff. Tortoise mobs have less HP but are hard to debuff.

Tried that mission yesterday. Got him to around 50%, but then I started fighting a losing battle, couldn't keep up with the damage after his Barrier move started healing him a little much. Gonna go back when I have upgraded my accessories a little, couldn't get him Staggered to put some hurt on him.

Fuck yes. Got my first Trap 1/11 or 1/12. Either way, Omega weapon* now before beating the game. Going to fuck up the final boss with a passion.

Really? I never got one-shotted by the last boss in any form, and never stopped to grind or do missions. Shit was easy

He can one shot you with Death, has nothing to do with grind or missions

Maybe I got lucky then, because I don't remember him even casting death

I never saw last boss cast Death as well.

He doesn't outright cast Death, it's an added effect on one of his attacks
