I know it's not mine, I just needed to see it.

What were you doing to cause yourself to hydroplane...seriously. Them rx-8's are nice looking but a bit slow.
off topic but since it was brought up, how difficult is it to lower a car yourself? i have some basic knowledge of it, haven't done any big things myself just some bolt ons(intake/header/exhaust) and some other random things. it just seems like it'd be kinda complicated to do, but i really don't wanna get raped by a garage in labor fees
Coils + hacksaw = lowered
But for reals, are you thinking of doing coilovers or cupkit? It's not really overly complicated, just a matter of switching out parts. You wont need to worry about much else unless you're slamming your shit to the ground, have 9"+ wide rims, or for some reason throw a neg camber kit on. It really wasnt that difficult, and I did it outside with no lift. Sitting on gravel and mud.
This is how my car current sits, riding on FK Streetlines. I still have plenty of thread left to go, rims are 17x7.5. I don't have any issues at the current height, but if I go any lower in front my rims starts to rub on the coils, so I'd just need to pick up some 8mm spacers.
(Shitty pic is ye olde, but I still have the same stance going)
