    Problem with new PC

Ok i am 90% sure this is due to power failure but still asking

bought this kit for my parents

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBu...t=Combo.343621

used their old 500gig HDD to go with it.

So i plug it and all goes well installed windows 7 ultimate 32bits and all updates. (play with it for 2-3 hours no problems)

Forgot to change the power off setting and PC hibernate after 30min, so i wake up this morning and wake it back

I installed Firefox and imported their contact into windows live mail and BANG PC reboot.

as for now PC doesn't, when i open it it runs for 20sec then reboot. But before i try to RMA the power supply you think something else can be the cause?

If you go into Safe Mode, does the PC still attempt to reboot? And probably the most obvious question to ask.. Is the thermal paste and heatsink properly mounted on that CPU?

For the heatsink the answer is yes

as for safe boot the answer is the PC reboot 20sec after power on, so i dont have time to get into safe mode

When my computer started doing that right after installing a new power supply, turned out it was the motherboard.

From my experience that does not seem like a power supply issue. Find a friend with a power supply and see if you can swap it in to see if that is the problem before you RMA it, cause that will take a good week+ to get your new power supply and cost you shipping.

If not this is a bit crappy thing to do, but you could go to best buy or something grab a power supply if you cant find one to borrow for a few hours try that and return it or keep it and just refund yours at newegg instead of replace.

Check your voltages in the bios.
