fuck chapter 11 though. Went back, did a shitton of missions, almost have my chocobo, unlocked a ton of warp points, after I get my chocobo and do a few more missions I think I'll continue with the story.

So, I'm on my third attempt of Barthandelus, finally figured how to survive his ultimate attack (Destrudo), Im widdling down his HP SEN/COM/MED had him around 70k WHEN HE RANDOMLY FUCKING CASTS DOOM ON LIGHTNING FUUUUUUUUUCK, so I start zerg rushing him and my doom counter runs out at 2k HP left on him....thats 1 more attack round for Light. I hate this game

How the hell do you fill up Hecatonchier's bar in time? I've lost to it 3 times in a row now, his bar always gets filled up to 95% when my doom bar runs out. =/ (Chapter 11..)

So Raines is kicking my ass. I'm going with Shaz/Fang/Vanille using SAB/SAB/SYN to buff debuff but after he changes he buffs himself and debuff me and i just can't keep up with that and the massive damage he can do to 1 target in a single volley of attacks. Should i use a SEN?

This, im also having trouble. I can zerg him down to 50% easy but Serpahic(whatever) Ray fucks me up and forces me to waste time rebuffing

Edit: Just beat him Light/Fang/Sazh.

Kept haste on, didnt bother with anything else.
Once you stagger him you can take at least 45% of his health bar off.
Just build your chains whilst he uses Guard

For Raines you can avoid the 2nd half of the fight, which I struggled with on my first try, by zerging him.

You need to go Lightning/Sazh/Vanille (best party ever, fuck Hope, fuck Fang, fuck Snow, stop using terrible characters)

Go MED/SYN/MED to start and buff the entire party, or whatever you want, just as long as you have SYN for buffs. Alternatively, you can just start with a Fortisol and Aegisol or whatever, I guess.

Switch to COM/Anything and hit him once. Switch to RAV/RAV/MED and light him up, when he goes defensive mode, go RAV/RAV/RAV and get him staggered. The idea here is you want to be getting him to stagger ASAP, if you whittle his HP down too slowly he'll Metamorphose and you'll be struggling to keep up at that point because his damage is really nuts and he targets very intelligently.

Upon breaking the first time, the fight is now over. If you can't finish him off now you did it wrong. Immediately upon break go COM/RAV/RAV and just tear him apart. Time your COM (don't just spam X!) so that he is constantly launched, if he lands you run the risk of him switching to Guard and ruining your day and the rest of your break. You should easily get him up to 999% break and his HP should be dropping in chunks until finally he dies. If you find you can't finish him in one break then try debuffing with Vanille to give a little boost in damage (I don't remember if he's immune to debuffs).

By the way, I did this without any upgraded items, so if you have some items upgraded it should be all the more easy.

Hope,light,snow 5 stars. Hopes buffs are the shit... love that kid he and light are in my pt 99% of the time. Snow gets swaped for fang a lot tho.

Yup. Once you stagger him and keep him flying in the air he goes down very very quickly.

I just swapped out Hope for Vanille (using light+sazh) to see how raines would go with com/med+sab+syn... fight was a joke lol

Although, now that I have this new tree opened up. Fuck I'm going to have to grind alot.

My god Dahaka was annoying.... died about 4 times with Light/Snow/Vanille, so I switched to Light/Fang/Hope... took me 16 minutes, but I killed the bastard. >.<

Ah okay, not Sentinel Snow, I see. I thought you said that because your strategy was a departure from the one I suggested.

I equipped all my Fire Resist/Magic Resist gear, buffed w/ Haste and just zerged him. He's a pussy once his nukes aren't a threat anymore, so you can just RAV/RAV/RAV through 2 sets without having to stop and paradigm into healing mode.

Also, I took out Barthandelus or whatever his name is, the trick was using a Sabo, I hadn't had to use one up until then. Vanille debuffed him and when he broke he was taking hits for like 30k from Lightning. I only had to break him twice to win.
