Uh. Lol.
Didn't realize this thing has 1.5mil HP. Just died to it with Light/Fang/Vanille... gonna change out Vanille and use Hope for buffs.
Has anyone beaten this thing? Whats the reward?

Do you mean the one that's right inside the factory area behind the door or the one later on?
Wait there's another? >_>...
Inside the factory area. Its where you're first required to go I guess? after you get to Gran Pulse towards Oerba Village.
I bashed myself into it until I found the winning strategy. The treasure box behind it has a Platinum Bangle in it if you're interested in 'the reward.'
Basically you need SEN/MED/SYN up to get and keep Barfire/Protect up at all times, then switch between SAB/MED/RAV, COM/MED/RAV and COM/RAV/RAV to build it up to a nice chain bonus until it clears its debuffs, then you start over with debuffs and repeat until stagger, at which point you go full offense and keep it launched. My successful group was Fang/Lightning/Hope, slapping +fire defense and +HP accessories on Hope so he wouldn't get splattered every time buffs fell off. This setup also offers SEN/MED/MED for when shit hits the fan.
I came across one in Mah'habara, Gran Pulse. It wrecked me a few times, before i just decided to skip it.
Even with fire resist accessories and buffs, I couldn't keep up.
I basically followed what Correction did, but I would swap to SEN/MED/SYN for buffs then swap to Relentless until I needed a cure, then I would swap into Diversity until green and go back into Relentless. Once I had it staggered I'd swap to Aggression. SAB is probably a better way to go, but I didn't have it equipped at the time so I didn't have that option.
It wasn't too hard for me, it just took awhile. I did however grind until I had two of three base roles filled and was halfway through the third on every character.
Unless your Vanille has Fire Resist and Protect, I'd go with Hope. It's a very drastic change of a fight with those two things.
What kind of stats did you guys have?
I'm not even close to maxing even one of the tiers that you can fill in chapter 11.
2/3 of my base roles capped, with the 3rd close to being capped. I was starting to get bored of grinding/missions because I really want to advance the plot.
I'd suggest taking a lot of time out to grind some CP... you'll get raped in almost every fight if you can't even maxed out 1 tier.
Maybe I'm just not leveled enough then.
Spoiler: show
Have you been upgrading your weapons accessories as you go along? That's helps out a lot too in conjunction with CP. Fang absolutely wrecks in my game with Light not that far behind her.
For the record, I had no weapons/accessories upgraded by the time I fought Juggs.
I haven't upgraded anything either. I'll just continue along until I meet another one and give it the old college try.
If there is one blocking my way, I'll find a way to beat it.
This is an optional fight and the only reward is an accessory (dont remember which) and a Cie'th mission stone. I went back later after I beat the game and found this out, he's real easy once you've grinded a bit. Just continue along the other direction to continue the story.
Dead. Fight was easy as fuck once I got Hope in. Love how I got no stars D:...
EDIT: Upgrading helps, but its really not necessary. More of a distraction than anything else imo.
As much as I would agree it's not necessary, I wouldn't say it's something as dismissable as a distraction to the game either. It's the difference of a couple hundred Strength and Magic from where you currently are if you upgrade appropriately.
Guess I should have said up to the point where I'm at. I'm sure upgrades are gonna be necessary later on.
God damn every fucking zone in this game looks amazing. Just reached the spring area. fffffffff
