    Best in Slot items

I know that there is not one ULTIMATE weapon for each character as there has been in other FF games, but I'm wondering what you all find to be the best weapons and accessories for the characters? And also the best place to farm for the items needed to make these weapons/accessories?

    Here's a link for all upgraded/evolved accessories: http://ff-13.info/accessory/

You're stuck farming the larger Adamantoises for the final upgrade reagents, and nothing but Adamantoises.

I haven't compiled a BiS list but do note that accessory combinations will yield extra bonuses when equipped on the same character, so that adds a new wrinkle to it, especially when considering that past a certain point all characters can be all jobs.

Maybe we should put some stipulations on it, for example let's just stick to BIS items for characters in jobs they're supposed to be in.

For example, Lightning BIS for COM/RAV not for like, SENT, which would be Fang/Snow. Also I didn't know that about accessories. Cool!

I heard there was a 2X CP item somewhere, how do I get ahold of that?

Speaking of, when do things start to even out between characters after this point? I've literally just unlocked this system and Fang is the only character capable of Bravera and Faithra, seemingly making her and Sazh the only two worth making Synergist so far for those + Bravery/Faith.

Being all jobs does not mean getting all the same spells, afaik.

Well I can see that now, that's why I'm asking. I assume when crystarium expands more everything opens up to everyone. But at this point it's far from the case.

From what I was told even when you hit tier 10 certain things never unlock to certain people like Vanille will never get haste. The other thing mentioned was a move called Highwind or something that only opens up to Fang and someone else for COMs.

No. Once the cryst open up everyone still does not get everything. For example, Hope's synergist crystarium does NOT include bravera/faithra, even once level 10 is opened.

edit: Added a link to OP, also

That's cool then. Glad everyone doesn't just end up a complete clone of each other.

What's a very nice item to have is Sprint Shoes, gives auto-haste. Guides for this thing have been around long since the JP version but it basically works like this:

    - Get a Tetra Tiara or Crown (mission 7 drops them and can get 1 from chocobo digging).
    - Buy 4 Iron Bangles (just cheapest accessory, some say you need the bangles in your inventory before you get a Tiara or Crown, they are wrong, I made 3 of these today in this order). Don't upgrade the bangles or anything.
    - Upgrade the Tetra Tiara or Crown to * level (thing has just 1 level to go *
And I guess this was the key in the order and how some people messed this up and ended up not getting the shoes.
    - Go to the Dismantle menu
    - Break down the 4 iron bangles
    - Then break down the Tetra Tiara or Crown
    - If you used Tiara you will get Sprint Shoes and if you used Crown you will get Hermes' Shoes which can be upgraded to Sprint Shoes (needs 1 level and a pervoskite).

Can also get a set of Hermes' Shoes from a mission, think it was in the 30 range. And another mission has Sprint iirc.

For an easy growth egg try this strat, worked great for me:

Mission #55 rewards you w/ the accessory "Grow Egg" (2x CP for All Characters). Obviously, this is an incredible item, but the battle itself is far from easy. Thankfully, there is a "cheap strategy"...

Leader: Vanille (Nirvana or Malboro Wand, Dash Shoes)
    Member #1: Fang (Dash Shoes)
    Member #2: Hope (Dash Shoes)

    Optima #1: Jammer/Defender/Healer (Default Optima)
    Optima #2: Healer/Defender/Attacker
    Optima #3: Healer/Attacker/Attacker

Neochu isn't immune to Vanille's Death, and we will use it to ensure a swift victory. She *must* have Nirvana or Malboro Wand, and if at all possible, 2000+ Magic Stat. Power Smoke, Barrier Smoke. When the battle starts, spam him with Death until he dies, then switch to Optima #2 or Optima #3 and clean up the remaining enemies.

Death trick works without Nirvana/Malboro Wand, and has low accuracy regardless of your Magic power. Using smoke is a waste as well since you can spam retry and cheese the RNG that way.

    Accessories:

    Sprint Shoes
Whistlewind Scarf *3 (not sure what the upgraded version is called)

Basically you'll want 3 items belonging to the Boost synthesis group for ATB fill rate +20% (for obvious reasons). Unless you're killing low level stuff the quicker attacks/heals should be best.

    Weapons:

    Lightning: Lionheart
    Fang: Dragoon Lance
    Hope: Hawkeye
Snow: Power Circle (Attack), Feyark (Magic)
    Vanille: Belladonna Wand
Sazh: Pleiades Hi-Powers (Attack), Rigels (Magic)

These are my personal choices. Pleiades may be dangerous for Sazh due to paper tiger and you may choose differently depending on what roles you use but these are generally pretty good choices.

It's the same shit you use to get Lightning's Blaze Edge to tier2.

And funny, I just got growth egg with that method 5mins ago lol. Took alot of tries lol.
