This. 'Double CP' applies to the total calculated CP gained in the fight.

The egg must be on an active party member so you must remember to shuffle equipped items if you change party members a lot.

It needs one level to get to the * level, then you use an item called pervoskite on those Hermes Shoes Lv*. Pervoskite is buyable at the shop for 30k and gotten at some points in the game as reward from some treasure/mission/enemy. I forgot where exactly.

It's the same shit you use to get Lightning's Blaze Edge to tier2.

And funny, I just got growth egg with that method 5mins ago lol. Took alot of tries lol.

What's a very nice item to have is Sprint Shoes, gives auto-haste. Guides for this thing have been around long since the JP version but it basically works like this:

- Get a Tetra Tiara or Crown (mission 7 drops them and can get 1 from chocobo digging).
- Buy 4 Iron Bangles (just cheapest accessory, some say you need the bangles in your inventory before you get a Tiara or Crown, they are wrong, I made 3 of these today in this order). Don't upgrade the bangles or anything.
- Upgrade the Tetra Tiara or Crown to * level (thing has just 1 level to go *
And I guess this was the key in the order and how some people messed this up and ended up not getting the shoes.
- Go to the Dismantle menu
- Break down the 4 iron bangles
- Then break down the Tetra Tiara or Crown
- If you used Tiara you will get Sprint Shoes and if you used Crown you will get Hermes' Shoes which can be upgraded to Sprint Shoes (needs 1 level and a pervoskite).

Can also get a set of Hermes' Shoes from a mission, think it was in the 30 range. And another mission has Sprint iirc.

You don't need to buy or break down Iron Bangles for this to work, just make sure you * the crown/tiara before dismantling.

I just randomly paired up the Sorcerers Mask and Energy Sash on Sazh and got 'Random: Instant Chain' it sounds freaking amazing, 'randomly fill the targets chain gauge'.

Yup you just got lucky breaker (no idea if they call it the same thing in the US version). You also get this with Lightning's LionHeart.

So instead of upgrading Lionheart can I just use these? Does the effect stack? I notice the effect is listed twice for duplicate effects but I have no idea if it actually acts twice in practice.

Also if the member equipping it is dead at the end of the fight (obviously not the leader or you'll get game over), you don't get 2x CP either.

Little confused as to what people mean when they make their choice. Belladonna wand for example, do you keep it as such? Or upgrade it all the way through the chain.

If you upgrade it then you get improved debuffing II. Probably doesn't help Death too much though.
