Disk reading problem
So here the deal. The first time i put in FFXIII it didn't read properly but was working fine after I did a system update. I've had 3 long sessions after that and no issues reading the disk.
Now every time I start my PS3 (it's a slim) the disk doesn't seem to want to be read. After it's the the slot for about 20 seconds it makes a sound like it's changing the disks and then nothing happens. All of my other games still seem to be working fine. Any ideas?

My guess is that your game is: damaged physically, it's corrupted, or data in your PS3 somehow got corrupted, and thus won't let you start the game.
The easiest thing to try is to do a "restore file system." This does not delete any information, it simply, like it states, restores the original file system in case it gets corrupted. The menu can be accessed by pressing and holding the power button, it will beep 2x, release, and you should see the menu. Visit Sony's website for more detailed info.
It would have been easier to figure this out if you had access to another PS3 or a copy of the game.

Yea when my friend gets home tonight I'm going to take it up to his place. I was just hoping there was some easy fix.
. The file system restore didn't work at all sadly
