I was browsing around http://www.kungfucinema.com/ for more info on Donnie Yen's Ip Man 2 and then i stumbled on to this movie thinking it was the Wong Kar Wai and Tony Leung's Ip Man.... but It's NOT!! The Ip Man Prequel

What pissed me off about ip man is the blatant propaganda crap you find in a lot of big chinese films.

Just got back from seeing this at the theater. Have to say I enjoyed it as much as the last one, but it is really similar if you just replace the Japanese with the British. The Kung fu scenes in it are great and Donnie's Wing Chun is a lot of fun to watch.

Don't read if you intend to watch, but haven't.

The British guy, Darren Shahlavi, is incredibly ripped in this movie, but he hardly shows any signs of pain right up until the end of the fight which seemed a bit weird. Yip man would land some punches/kicks that would seem to hurt, but he just bellows and shrugs them off mostly. I'm no boxing nor fighting expert, but it seemed strange that Yip man got the shit kicked out of him and the British guy made his punches seem like almost nothing.

Also, the Bruce Lee scene was just a short, comedic cameo, which was a bit of a let down, though not sure what I was expecting; everybody in the theater seemed get a kick out of it when he did his trademark nose wipe.

I think overall there's nothing new story-wise compared to the first one, but it sure still does a great job at getting your blood boiling especially if you're of Chinese descent.
