Ventrilo Push To Talk Key suddenly stopped working.

I have tried setting the thread priority on Vent to High
I am running Vent as administrator
My microphone is fine, Sound Recorder can pick up the sound.
I have tried switching keys and disabling the 'Use DirectInput' option
It was working like...3 hours ago.

I am out of fucking ideas...halp

Fix your mixer/muxer and make sure your "mouse" is being recognized by windows.

What platform? I was never able to get Vent ptt working with ffxi. I basically had to alt tab to another app or folder or whatever, talk, then switch back. Is this with xi or just in general?

This is the latest Windows client running on XP SP3

The workaround, it seems, is to run Ventrilo as administrator. I am not thrilled about having to do this. Ventrilo's official boards are worse than useless, as usual.

running vent as admin isnt this really big crazy thing, its pretty much par for the course and required for vista and 7, guess now its required for XP as well.

If you are not thrilled about having to right click and run as admin every time, just set the privilege level to admin and it will open as admin every time. (i assume most people know this is possible, but pointing it out bc I am lazy when it comes to little things like right clicking)
