    Sulyya Springs trouble.. (ch11)

All I have to say is that up until this area, I've never once had trouble with regular enemies... and then I hit this area, and all of a sudden everything is tossed out the window and enemies are absolutely destroying me here... Any tips on how to get through this area without dying every second? Those frogs that call the smaller frogs are an absolute torture, I can't handle 6-7 enemies at once..

When I got to that point to I just changed my default paradigm to always include a Sentinel. With Mystic Tower (Com/Sen/Rav) you chain faster than Rav/Com/Rav, take no where near as much damage, and can last that extra 10 seconds to finish off that one enemy that allows you to start healing without being defensive about it.

It would have taken me quite a bit of time of grinding to get it by here. That being said ... Pain/ga or Daze/ga is a wonder here. I simply used Painga and watched as the little frogs where incapable of attacking while I picked off the dangerous ones that call for help or resisted the Painga.

Get used to CCing things as sometimes in the wilds of Pulse you will come up against two monsters that you are in no way capable of defeating at the same time. CC one and kill the other.

I didn't grind once. Got Ruinga on Lightning around the time I arrived on Pulse. Got it on Fang after doing 5 or so missions.

Just wanted to pop back in and mention that I passed that area with much ease after using Ruinga, so thank you! (and yes, Ruinga was available for Light shortly before reaching Gran Pulse... and I never once grinded.)

Honestly, I'm about 3 or 4 zones after that area now, and I still haven't encountered enemies that are as annoying as those green frogs in Sulyya. >.<

Then you must not have skipped mobs, ever. Because I skipped occasional mobs and I was still far away from Ruinga when I entered Pulse. Like 5+ orbs of the 4-6k+ variety away.

I had Ruinga shortly after entering Gran Pulse and I certainly didn't grind.

It all depends on what you are using your CP for. If you were maxing things out in other trees or not I guess. Or if you bothered to look ahead to see it. I don't think I had ruinga until after the Bismark area. I did a few missions before pushing forward too, so I dont know.

Either way, the area is doable with Sab CC you can also have at this level.

Not a boss really that I could find. Bismark is a little CS that brings the rock's up. Several of which have Upgrade gems in them.

I didnt want to start a new thread for this.
How long would u guys recommend grinding after reaching GP before continuing on with the main quest? I've managed to cap all all of the first 3 jobs on each char... is that enough? I want to store CP for when the crysarium expands, so I'd rather not spend a fortune leveling up the 3 newer jobs if I dont have to.

I didn't have Ruinga after entering Pulse for a while, but I was the type to max out everything I could on the grid before the Crystarium leveled up. I'm sure if you specialized more and stored CP you would get Ruinga pretty quickly after the Crystarium levels up.

Hell, that might be TOO much. I barely have one of their classes maxed, much less all three.. lol

I didn't bother grinding one bit in GP, I just killed everything in the way while doing missions and counted that as my grinding and I was able to get through just fine(on chap 13 now). I Got a few Game Overs though from soldiers blocking the fucking path in chap 12... they start off fully buffing themselves making them a bitch to kill.
