NA site updated

In case you hadn't noticed, the NA site for FFXIV has been updated.

It includes updates for all of the disciplines of war. Interestingly, each of them has five specific abilities. According to the early statements from FFXIV, you will have 10 ability slots to load. Assuming that these are the abilities SE meant in those earlier statements, and that you take at least four from your primary job, that leaves you 5-6 you can take from the other disciplines.

Even a cursory look seemed to open up many, many possibilities. I suspect that it's going to be easy to mimic a lot of FFXI jobs, or come up with combinations that will give you abilities you will never see in FFXI, but wish you had seen.

It would take no more than a half a day to update all the sites. Not sure why the ones aside from JP take days to do it. JP also a lot easier to navigate.

JP site was updated on thursday afternoon gmt (possibly friday 12am for JP)
NA site was done 12am saturday morning but so far no update to EU site

I bet there's one guy translating the info, then one guy putting it to the site. Maybe it's the translation part that takes longer? >_>

Oddly the NA site doesn't work properly when viewed in Google Chrome. Switched over to Firefox to check it out and everything was updated and working properly.

A good translator can translate as he reads, and thats it. But obviosuly if you want accurate info, you read it once to comprehend it, read it again to translate it, and then read it again to make sure it's all correct. Still shouldnt take any more than a couple hours though. Website should be prep'd before hand to accept the new info and pictures. Would make it easier if they just used the same layout as the JP site, but w/e im just nitpicking; it doesnt really matter because there are other fansites/people that translate it faster.

I use Chrome and was having a problem, but then I cleared my cache and it works fine.

Oh yeah, btw. Kinda weird that Pug's Steal has a note about Stealth...I knew it would be more rogue-like with the black outfits and Steal, but this is going from close-range fighter to straight up ninja.

Yeah but... you know amurrica... All the beauracuracy(sp?) with editing, web and publishing companies. Could have created a delay. Or we can just assume they knew wed be itching for the info and they know we are too lazy to just learn japanese and do it ourselves.

It looks like you guys are right! I can see pugilist becoming THF NIN or MNK. And yeah.. final fantasy tactics advancement fits suit here with the current speculation. The MNK/THF/NIN thing is just to reference something we all know.

I yell at people who macro too much. Like rangers who have "/p Ranged Attack Colibri!!!" for EVERY time they shoot. >.<
