I imagine he's referring to the fact KSU was the only school willing to give Bob Huggins a much-needed stepping stone after his DUI at Cincy, only to bolt to his alma mater after 1 year in Manhattan. Many K-State fans felt ridiculously betrayed as Huggins had stated he loved, and would never leave, Manhattan. (I think he was genuine in that and it was only West Virginia that could've pulled him away.) He did, however, bring K-State all it needed in that one year with a coaching staff loaded with east coast and AAU connections, not to mention Michael Beasley in the subsequent recruiting class.
Three years later, K-State is getting talent it's never seen, and it turns out Frank Martin (who was greatly ridiculed as a poor hire only made to keep Beasley/Walker for a year) knows how to handle a Div I program. Now if KSU would rise and knock off WVU and Huggins in the NC of all places, things would certainly have come full circle.
