How does losing your best defender and one of your best scorers, with a terrible recruiting class coming in, make your team better.

Zoubek and Thomas had a "good" run in the tourny, but the plumlee's are much more athletic/talented than either of them. Scheyer is a big loss, but Dawkins and curry will be able to fill that void with more athleticism (and irving if Coach K lets a freshmen play). Not to mention smith and the chin are around for one more year. Smith should have a big year next year.

Anybody that puts KU basketball outside a preseason top 10 is fucktarded, no matter who they're losing.

I'm actually interested in seeing that video, it didn't look like a hard hit and looked more like a flop but I could be wrong and possibly swayed by the CBS commentary.

I've come to the conclusion that basically what happened is this:

He smacked the shit out of him. Just watching the replay you could see he swung that elbow *HARD*.

So hard, in fact, that dude got knocked down so hard it *looked* like he had to be flopping, at least exaggerating it a little bit.

Refs decided since it looked he flopped and that's not allowed, they just weren't going to call it. Reality was a freaking huge dude just swung his elbow through his face.
