Trapezohedron, that makes it the Omega.
Helter is the one I upgraded. Has a lot of STR.

This is what I would like clarified before I start dumping all my gil into weapons, mostly for curiosity because I'm a long ways before I can even upgrade that far. Can you have multiple Omega Weapons upgraded from different base weapons? I'm assuming if you could, you could only discern between them by their stats when equipping?
It's pretty weak that each weapon's final form has the same exact name.
You could, but it would be seriously cost prohibitive.
Has anyone tried both Gladius>helter>omega vs. axis>enk>omega? Or easier, Helter vs. enk?
When I make the switch to fang in place of sazh and toss hope in, I'm thinking of going the axis route with lightning... right now she is the hardest hitting in my party (since at chapter 11, she has same str than fang) but when I swap, it might be better to go for speed.
This link is to the guide with the chart of the weapons that you can upgrade and what's needed.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps3/file/928790/58716
type "Chart abbreviations" into find and it'll bring you right there. I was looking at it and it seems to have most of the effects listed for the weapons.
i'm having light set up as rav mostly atm, while i main fang on com
question is, what exactly is "breaks early" and why choose lionheart over say haute or something.
More Strength and/or Magic and ATB+1? Idk mang.
I guess there's no point in upgrading Lionheart/axis to ultimate then? Might as well just do one of the other ones, cause those abilities alone are kinda shitty, it's the set bonuses that make those weapons awesome :/
I have no idea what to upgrade for my characters. I'm currently using Light/Fang/Hope with light running as a Rav/Com mainly, Fang as Com/Sen, and Hope as Rav/Medic. Light is using the Axis blade accessory to boost the ATB gauge. Fang is using the Bladed for the Str, and Hope is using Vidofnir for the defensive buffs extention.
For light I'm enjoying the faster ATB gauge but should I stick with it? For Fang the Taming pole and upgrades look best for all the STR it gets and the magic would just be a bonus. I figure since she is mostly on Com/Sent the Stagger Lock won't be a problem. For Hope, Hawkeye seems to be the best to upgrade but the Defense Maintenance is really nice for his Syn. Is it worth it to give up the Magic for the Buff Boosts?
You can get the lucky break, instant chain w/e you call it from accessories like Speed Sash, Energy Sash, hunter's friend, champion's badge and survalist catalog. You need only 2 of these items equipped to get lucky break. 3 is also lucky break. 4 and 5 items (which would include weapon) boost TP stuff too. So if you only want lucky break, you are fine with just 2 items and can rape the world with your Omega weapon instead of an tier2 Lionheart.
I'm not entirely sure it works this way since I never setup lucky break myself (though I could easily, just didn't have the need yet), but I assume it does work without the weapon and just 2 accessories. wether it procs more with more items, fuck if I know XD
The guide states you only need one form of the "ultimate weapons" for the "all items" trophy. You need both forms of each weapon, but only one form of the ultimate weapon, whichever one you make it from.
I actually like how Helter looks a bit, at least compared to gladius. I know, just recoloring... but it made a difference.
Omega looks different, can't find the image of a guy ingame with it and I can't make a pic, because I can't get 1 trapezo to drop for the life of me XD
I'll spoiler these just in case someone doesn't want to see them. You'll have to excuse the shitty quality as I took these with my iPhone.
