Which weapons to upgrade!

So is Axis Blade to Omega for Lightning the consensus? Or does Axis Blade really lose it's purpose once you turn it to the 3rd form?

Whats the general consensus on a weapon for Fang? Im thinking about the weapon that enhances her Sab role, but its not that good of a weapon since its magic strong, and I dunno how useful the Sen weapon will be

Vanille is a better Sab than Fang, who becomes a better Com than Light in the end game. I'm getting her a Taming Pole when I can if I can ever get some GD MONEY

I'm taking Fang's Taming Pole to tier3, and I'll cap tier2 on Gae Bolg for when I know she'll be SEN a lot. Taming Pole is too strong, and since COM never really puts a mob to stagger anyway, it's drawback is almost not worth mentioning.

I'm going to do the Dragoon Lance on Fang. Level Hope's SAB after his main stuff; He gets all the pertinent spells in ga form, and has the highest magic stat.

I don't see the appeal of any weapon with stagger lock considering how good RAVx3 is to drive the chain up quickly.

i now have 100+ hours on this game 5 upgraded weapons all roles capped on every char.......

lightning > axis blade > omegaweapon
fang> taming rod > kains lance
hope > hawkeye > nue

completed every mission to 64 without ever using a sentinal there not as usefull for 5 starring every fight which is a achievement btw

only figths i couldnt 5 star were mission 62 and the stupid annoying cactaur that spams 10000 needles other than those 2 this works for every fight after u beat the game

u can stay in com com rav or com rav rav or rav rav rav all the way into the 50's in ur missions they are a joke if u farm the p to fully max out char's

I have the sab weapons for both Van and Fang up to the second form star rank and love both of them. Being able to quickly debuff without tons of recasting is really really nice.

I believe stagger lock makes it so you can't actually activate the staggered mode, but you can still build up the chain %.

Personal opinion. I prefer the axis blade. Rapes with army of one plus I think it actually is making 5 star'n missions easier because of its lower attack power (higher attack power lowers timer) while keeping a killer atb growth rate.

Of course it's an opinion, there's no right or wrong answer for which weapon is better. It all depends on your play style. I personally use Fang as my party leader so Axis Blade doesn't stand out all that much to me.

It doesn't really matter all that much which you upgrade though, you shouldn't have issues killing anything because you don't have BiS items. Just upgrade what you think sounds cool / enjoyable.

Oh, good to know. I avoided all those thinking they couldn't contribute to the percentage lol.

The above is wrong too. It's just as debatable. I went with Otshirvani for the siphon boost. Increasing his ability to do damage during staggers(where damage counts the most in many cases) seemed like a better trade off than ~200 magic.
