I skipped some of the stuff that looked ridiculous, but none of it was gamebreaking

I didn't overgrind at all and had no trouble with Orphan's Cradle at all. I FOUGHT ALMOST EVERYTHING. Didn't use any shroud items nor a single Eidolon. Wanna know my trick? Fang/Vanille/Hope SAB/SAB/SYN or SAB/SYN/MED as when needed till everything is debuffed to fuck and you're buffed to max. Then kick their ass with Relentless Assault. I didn't use SEN once(In fact i think i used SEN maybe 8 times in the whole game). Died maybe 5 0r 6 times in total Including Boss fights.

I did notice a definite ramp up in the difficulty once it got to this point in the game. Particularly the way my setups/gear were it felt more like blind luck than strategy with some fights.

If you understand the mobs you wont ever lose, there is very little luck unless you got in planing to just hack and slash(tho some mobs are like that, others need de-buffs and crap)

It goes as far as sometimes moving a person out to the left.

I honestly found Eden harder than Orphan's Cradle in terms of normal enemies <_< Orphan's Cradle just had more annoying enemies.

I'm still in this area, been grinding the 32k cp monsters a little bit. The key to this zone is definitely buffing/debuffing. It makes a huuuuuuge difference.

Working through Orphan's Cradle... Light/Fang/Hope, holy damn when Fang lands fog/pain on the mass of Cie'th, it just makes the fights too easy. Which is great cause perfume is nice money too lol. But I'm not too far into it yet, only spent about an hour or two in there

For the better part of the game you don't use debuffs, its not till spells like fog come into play does it add something that makes it geeat. Fog/slow are key in this area I found. I did not use fang all that much till this poin t in the game. It was at this part that she niot only raped in cmd but her de buffs help...

Don't underrate deprotect, deshell, and imperil. Those are pretty damn strong too.

Deprotect/Deshell/Imperil are huge, get those up and watch your numbers fly. Especially on mobs who are resistant to melee/magic
