    I only watched the first 2 episodes of Gurren Lagann because I'd rather be playing vidya 99% of the time. But they were pretty good. Scenes I've seen from later episodes look amazing too.

    Basically nothing past ep. 5 is half-assed.
    The show actually gets pretty fucking awesome after ep. 10.

    I readily admit that the first few eps of Lucky Star sucked ass but I never drop a show without watching the first few eps.
    5 usually, if it is improving (definite improvement after ep. 3) or already awesome by 5 I go to 10 and possibly beyond.
