"I have not seen much of Pittsburgh, but I'm tired of it," said Paul LaCen, who was on his way from Chicago to visit family in Brooklyn when his bus was halted here early Saturday morning. A snowstorm swept up the East Coast of the United States this weekend, dumping more than two feet of snow in some places and disrupting holiday travel in several states.
The 24-year-old sat on the floor of the terminal yesterday afternoon, watching "Zombieland" on his laptop. It was an appropriate choice -- all around him, hundreds of people, laden with bags and winter coats, looked like the living dead, exhausted from travel that had been interrupted by, for many, more than a day of waiting in the bus terminal.
On Friday night, Mr. LaCen slept on a chair, and on Saturday night, he staked out a spot on the floor below the charging station so he could power up his computer and his phone, the better to fight the tedium of waiting 36 hours for the announcement, finally, at noon yesterday, that his bus would depart around 2 p.m
