Alright, with all the new Magian dagger options out, I wanna know what's worth upgrading and whatnot.

Obviously shit is situational. I'll be getting 2 of the AGI+EVA daggers for an Eva build.

For regular TP though, what would be best: (Assuming standard TP gear for THF (+ 8/8 dagger merits and Love Torque), no skadi yet, or rajas if that makes any difference (No haidate for SAM and no skadi pants for THF so it really does nothing for any of my jobs aside from the free STR/DEX ring, as I have a 6 hit on SAM currently without it specifically because I don't have haidate, and I can't hit 10 tp per round on THF without Skadi pants. I'll get Rajas when I get haidate or skadi pants, or level another DD job whichever comes first xD.))

Blau/SK
vs.
DEX and ACC Dakini/Blau
vs.
STR Attack Dakini/Blau or whatever other combo sans X's. If OAT dagger fits in there as well.

For Dynamis/Einherjar/Limbus Mobs? (I assume I should be using pizza here, I don't really get to use my THF in events much. Assume TK in offhand where it would matter.)

For Merits using Meat?

For Merits using Sushi?

For Farming/Misc w/ offhand being TK?

2 agi = 1 eva so +10 eva.

Seiryu also has 50 hp and higher defense, which makes it a better option for solo scenarios in my opinion...it's only a 2-3 eva loss.

What are the two best daggers to dual wield? Fuck Relic/Mythic. Everything else is game. This answer seems really complicated, because there are a few other questions I don't know the answers to.

I have an X's Knife and I want a final answer on whether it's critical bonus affects SATA when subbed. If so, then it's fine to sub it. If not, then is it my best mainhand choice?

Do Machismo's evoliths affect the other hand? If both X's and Machismo affect the other hand when dualwielded, is the best setup Machismo/X's? X's/Machismo?

Does anyone know the double attack rate on the new trial of the magians weapons?

Would using the DMG:39 magians weapon for main and X's sub parse highest?

Would using X's main and the strongest double attack dagger subbed be best?

X's works offhand, hence Mandau/X's.

X's/Blau is about equal to Blau/SK on normal mobs, and pulls ahead on HNM.

the D38 dagger is a Pharpe+1

New dagger/X's knife would be a good HNM combo. But it's pretty high and nasty delay for normal mobs.

Befor these daggers were introduced, I believe X's/Blau was your best HNM combo (inb4 thf kinfe) and Perfect Fane Baselard (+6DMG +6-10Acc +1-2TA)/Blau was probably the best normal combo.

The higher DMG OAT dagger is probabably the best offhand now, the D38 one is a good mainhand, with DPS slightly higher than blau, however it lack's blau's Acc/Att latent or X's Crit bonus but makes up with higher WS average (unless you stack all your WSs, which you shouldnt).

I'm fairly unimpressed by machimisso for normal mobs. It holds some weight on hnm and places where your WS will be constantly stacked and a bigger part of your damage but Pharpe+1/X's will be better there anyway almost certainly.

As lol as Alla is, this question will probably be better answered in the Alla thf forums. Not all of it is worth listening to, but a few members have nothign better to do that post constant dagger comparisons.

Edit: regarding mission weapons, I'd wait on upgrading those or you could well get very pissed after spending ages killing 5000 Clots on Lightsday new moon hopping on one leg facing west etc, for the cap to be raised to 80 and Lv76-80 daggers weapons and new magian additions shitting all over the current ones.

Best 'normal' combo: Blau/OAT Dagger?

Best HNM/Sky/Sea/High level NM combo: D38/Blau?

Or would the DEX/ACC Dakini pull ahead as an offhand dagger for high level NMs for the extra Acc? Again, based on the fact that I don't have an X's.

For high level hnms, I would use the Dex/Acc dagger over Blau I think. On things where even with a decent 370+Acc setup and Pizza+1, Acc can still be stupid low on certain mobs so the acc could outweigh the increased attack speed of blau (also will decrease TP feed, (which is why I wouldn't use OAT on hnm) which actually imo is Thf's biggest problem as a DD on HNM)

AF+1 feet vs. Askar feet (+12 Shield vs. -2DT)
Mhead vs. Louhi's/DS+1 cap (+10 Shield + some VIT vs -3/2 PDT)

I'm betting that instead of adding new 'Magian' weapons they'll just expand and add more trials to make the current ones better. Plus, with all that crap they're spouting about not making our current gear outdated, I'm quite sure they wouldn't make something they JUST released worthless. Less useful maybe, but not worthless.

That's my guess as well. It seems like a logical move since it allows for the progression of items without creating complaints about weapons being outdated (At least once the new weapons become assimilated in all classes).
