The plus side with CSN is that if you decide to stay in america -after- you've finished your education, you can with great ease, "skip" paying back to them, as they don't waste a lot of money finding you.

There are some swedish scholorships that you can apply for, but then you will have to give results and/or write a formal report of your stay and what you've accomplished during your time. It's also a lot easier to get scholorships if you've started an education in Sweden and is just looking for a couple of exchange years abroads and/or master's studies. In that case, most universities has a lot of partner projects abroad.
