It's definitely the missions in the circle. As soon as I completed mission 62, which was my last mission there, I got these guys, which really sucks because all my weapons are still level one except Lightning's. I'll try starting mission 63 and see if they despawn.

Edit: Yep, doesn't work. Oh well, I'll be farming mission 7 for money to upgrade.

They don't, lol. I accepted it earlier and they were there; even tried to abandon it and they were still there. Thank fucking GOD i kept a save from before I did mark 62 if it is from the circle ones.
Edit: Oh, btw I also tried to finish off the mark and of course they were still there.
I swear to god the worst part about them is the Adamanchelids getting replaced by Shaolong gui's or w/e. I thought it only screwed with the toises and the tortoises but nope, shaolung gui's that have like 11m hp and use ultima for 30k...

don't understand the problem here, the gui still drop the traps and ingots, it's the others that drop the dark matter so you can still farm for the weapons...plus there's always the adamantoise in eden as well.

I can't kill the Gui's. If the turtle in Eden is the 3.6m one then I guess I can farm that, but the ones with 5.6m I leave with ~700K using the summoning trick. I'd rather stick around in Gran Pulse though, unless there's a teleporter in Eden back to GP then I suppose it wouldn't be too bad.

The smaller ones are really easy, without smokes I can down them in like 3mins. Dark Matter drop is terrible out of like 30 or so i've only gotten 7.
The large ones are a bitch, with 40% magic/physical I think i'll be able to last a bit longer. I've only killed one of the large ones and I got hell of lucky in the fight.

Has it become any clearer on what actually pops these?

Some say M62, some say M63, and the guide says (in the trophy/achievement section, because you need to kill a long gui for adamant will) it's M51. And others are saying they've completed those without a change.

Rather important because the only missions I have left are the 35-51 batch, and the 52-64 batch.

It's the 7 statues in a circle, once you complete the last mission (order doesn't matter), that's when it happens.

With slow on these mobs are a total joke. Still takes me around 3 drops to kill one but its extremely easy when you land slow on its body not even a challenge. Drop rate on Plat seems better on these as well.
