Getting 1-3 Trapezohedrons without touching an Adamantoise or spending 2M Gil.

I stumbled across this about an hour ago, and first off I'd like to say this isn't without sacrifice, but it does beat spending 2,000,000g or farming 30+ Adamantoise and wanting to kick a kitten every time it doesn't drop.

The sacrifice in hand is the Genji Glove (Missions 51, 62, 63) of which there are only three in the game. If one of these is upgraded to Star Level then dismantled you get one Tear of Woe and one Trapezohedron.

You lose the ability to pass the 99,999 cap with a character, but gain the ability to upgrade to someone's Ultimate Weapon without the frustration of a 1% drop rate.

If this had already been posted I apologize, but didn't see any notice of it anywhere.

Indeed it is, but how many people break the 99,999 cap consistently besides Fang, anyway? I dismantled two, and kept one for her.

I merely gave people an option should they not want to farm endless numbers of turtles, then spend another 1-2M. Genji Glove's use is situational, and is not a game breaking item.

I didn't understand what you were trying to get at, but now I understand. You keep a file for everything everyone says here. Brilliant, but time consuming.

An accessory that only lets you break the damage cap. Yes, I do agree that it -is- an awesome item, but I don't feel that you need all three when so few characters can break 99,999 at a consistent rate. I expect people to disagree, but isn't that the best thing about opinions?

I'm not saying that if people don't do this then they suck at the game or anything of that nature; all I'm doing is merely letting people know that the option is there.

Back to turtles. And yes, I could buy 1 by now from all the ingot gil, but I need to cap my 6th job anyway. Behemoth+Wolf for lv3TP>Turtle>Behemoth+Wolf>Turtle etc makes some nice CP and is pretty quick with some chocobo digging on the side for small cash.

I don't even have stage 10 crystarium and Lightning and Fang both often smack stuff for 99999. Giving up one I could possibly understand, but two seems like a waste.

What are you using to get your TP back from just that one battle? I can't seem to do it, even with 5 stars. Also using Energy Sash, but that hardly makes a difference.
