Is it just me or is Capaldi is much better this season? Like I know he's a good actor, I don't think it was him, just the writing. To me, The Doctor has truly arrived this episode (Zygon Inversion).

I dont know if its him or the writers, but hes been getting progressively better for each episode (or, Im just getting more used to him). the guitar shiznit feels kinda cheesy but also differentiate him from previous doctors.
His speech at the end of this episode was the first time he's felt like the Doctor to me since he started.
Iono, for me the 11th stepped in right into the Doctors shoes in his first episode, with his speech to that Starship. As for the 12th he barely knew who he was the first season. I don't blame Capaldi because that's what the writing was. So what could he do? Doesn't mean I have to like it though.
9 will always be my favorite. Capaldi started out slow but has finally grown into the role. Shame he won't be around too long. 11 I didn't like till after Amy and Rory left. He just seemed....too cartoony for me.
He will be around for one more series at least. I guess he didn't know how exhausting shooting the series would be (they usually shoot from Jan thru Sept).
This episode was brilliant. With each 2-parter this season I'm growing more fondly of Capaldi as The Doctor, unlike the atrocity that was Series 8.
Shame he's supposedly not sticking around for much longer.
So there's one more 2-parter before the season finale huh? I hate how fast these seasons go.
Um... what the hell was this episode? >.>
Kill The Moon wasn't even the worst episode of last season. The episode with the trees solved the crisis with no intervention from the Doctor.
Anyways, excited for the shit show.
I had to keep checking the time remaining when I watched my recording. I struggled getting through that.
I dont think it was so bad, but it was kinda stupid having it so close after under the lake
I think that's a big part of it. It wasn't a particularly strong episode on its own merits, but considering some of the recent ones, it looks worse by comparison. This season has been pretty good, so I expect this to just be a minor blip and they'll bounce back.
This episode wasn't that bad. Making people sing 'Mr. Sandman' every time they entered a room would be pretty hilarious.
The Doctor yelling "none of this makes any sense!" essentially summed up the episode. It's textbook filler and coming off a strong episode *really* shows it has nothing to offer.
Not quite dragon egg moon spider nonsense but pretty junk.
Edit: It just came to my attention this episode had no title sequence. Good, it didn't deserve one.
I very rarely say this about a Doctor Who episode (even Kill the moon) but what the hell did I just watch? I mean, some Mark Gatiss (Mycroft from Sherlock) stories aren't that bad but this one was just out of place. I read that this was written as a two part story but had to condense it to one episode and a sequel is supposedly in the works.
Also next episode
Spoiler: show
