The spring run will begin with the doctor traveling to Namek. He will obtain the dragon balls and use them to revive Clara. It will work, and she will be the companion for 3 more seasons.

I'm thinking I'm gonna really like Capaldi's Doctor being all rageful and stuff. Fits his Doctor a lot better than trying to be campy and fun for Clara. Her death was meaningless and a waste. Still never cleared up the finding your grandson at the end of time and saving Private Pink...

And we still have the Doctor's daughter (real and fake?) out there. And didn't the Doctor solve a way to rescue River from the library at some point, but didn't go back (yet...?)

But I agree I think Capaldi being angry at shit is going to suit him well.

Malcolm Tucker. Still Capaldi's greatest creation. He does anger so very well.

And I think there's a lot we can explore with the Doctor being angry. You can say 9-11 were feeling guilty and trying to be happy as a defense mechanism because of the war. That's not the case anymore. But we have his entire people lost somewhere, and a moral dilemma about even freeing them, since they're not exactly his biggest fans, but he feels obligated to do so. And you have the 11th Doctor who said "A good man doesn't need rules...Now guess why I have so many." I'd like to see the Doctor lose "himself" for a while, and then find a companion that brings him back from that once it goes too far.

Hmm, I wonder if maybe one of the Doctor's daughters can make a return to set him back right. It would potentially be a great way to bring his grand daughter back. According to the Tardis wiki the Doctor claims to have left Susan in a "future england" because she fell in love. Who knows how future...right?

Freaking loved that episode. Think its one I might actually rewatch again this week. IMO it is Capaldi's best.

Damn, you people are making me want to watch it. I was planning on waiting until the season ended to finish the episodes.

I would wait it out cause this last episode was awesome to the point where one week to see the finale feels like eternity.

I still have a bunch of questions from the episode, but I assume that the majority of them will be handled with next week's finale... namely:

    Spoiler: show
    1. Ashildr "teleported" him into the confession dial, but the confession dial then somehow leads to Gallifrey? Did he always know this? And if he did, why the hell has he never tried going there that way? Maybe he was aware of the repercussions of entering his own confession dial, but he did tell her that he didn't know what it actually was, other than his confessions.
    2. After watching it a second time, he mentions that he remembers every single death once he gets to the wall and remembers the trigger with the "Bird" written by his predecessor... how can he remember something that he hasn't actually experienced, since each Doctor gives his life for the next one to be recreated?
    3. From the next time trailer it seems like both the sisterhood of Karn, as well as Ashildr, made it to Gallifrey... so much for being in a pocket universe?
    4. How did the first Doctor know to leave himself the clothes? Does that mean that the first incarnation somehow made it through the rest of that process butt-naked? Or perhaps he left the clothes there after figuring it all out, laid all the clues in place, and then gave himself up for the next Doctor? Yay for the return of the Bootstrap Paradox!
    5. Most importantly, if all the rooms reset, how comes the room with the wall doesn't?

All these questions are, of course, due to Moffat's piss-poor writing; and yet, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Probably my favorite episode of NuWho.

Basically all answered by 4. Doc always does what he does, and knows how he does. And c'mon son, everyone knows that bird is the word.

    Spoiler: show
was a clue of a bird poem that reminded him of the scenario of the wall. many birds slowly pecked their beaks on a hard rock and eventually wore it down or some shit.

    It's called the Shepherd Boy
    Spoiler: show
"In Lower Pomerania is the Diamond Mountain, which is two miles and a half high, two miles and a half wide, and two miles and a half in depth; every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on it, and when the whole mountain is worn away by this, then the first second of eternity will be over.”

"The Doctor is no longer here - you're stuck with me. And I will end you and everything you love."

I'll show you and your funny little friends to the whole laughing world. I'll bring UNIT, the Zygons, gimme a minute and I'll bring the Daleks and Cybermen too. You will save Clara and you will do it now. Or I will rain hell on you till the end of time.

Beautiful. Time Lord Victorious is back.

Capaldi's been racking up memorable scenes coming up on the tail end of this season. Between the speech about war and his scenes in Face The Raven and Heaven Sent we've seen him finally able to show those acting chops.
